Chapter 10
Arthur lay unconscious in the hospital, his injuries severe isla and the others had vanished, but the police were closing in
As dusk settled, the older woman pulled her coat tighter against the chil
“They were never good people to begin with. Locked up for filming others in secret, spreading private information, humiliating people and now, fresh out of prison, they’ve already done this? They say criminals always return to the scene of the crime. It’s getting late, dear, you should hurry home. You never know what kind of danger you might run into.”

“Home”
Months passed and before I knew it, I was heading out for another experiment
Inside the car, a few interns chattered excitedly.
“Hey, have you heard about that knife attack a few months ago? They finally caught the ones who ran! One of them was even pregnant. When they arrested her, she lost it, completely unstable. I have a picture, look!”
The others leaned in, murmuring in interest.
“Will they be sentenced?”
“Not sure. That woman will probably end up in a psych ward, but the rest? Definitely prison. Serves them right. The guy who got stabbed? He’s still unconscious, basically a vegetable now. His own family abandoned him and dumped him in some run–down nursing home. I know that place. When the caregivers get annoyed, they even hit the patients in secret “Doesn’t that mean he’s got no dignity left at all?”
“Yeah… Hey, Professor Green, do you know about this case?”
My hands stayed steady on the wheel, my gaze fixed on the road. My heart remained calm, untouched by their words.
“I didn’t before, but now that you’ve told me, I do.”
Perhaps this was simply karma.
