Ethan was the one who threw me away. Now
that he was sick, he came crawling back. It

bowl of spicy crawfish.
I was surprised. “How did you know I like
crawfish?”
I remembered Claire hated them.

Before I could finish, my phone suddenly rang.

“Jade, you meet me right now, or I’ll make

parents!”
“Claire, don’t you dare!” I yelled.
“If you don’t want me to do anything crazy,
I had no choice. I had to go. Kai wanted to
come with me, but I said no.
I just told him, “Save the crawfish for me. I’ll be back.”
He suddenly walked over and pressed a

“It’s a matching bracelet.”
It was made of colorful little stars strung

It looked so familiar, but I couldn’t place

Worried about my parents, I didn’t have time
