Chapter 6
Erica was stunned, realizing that what I said made sense.
But she still felt extremely unwilling to let me appear radiant and beautiful at her wedding.
“There’s still one more way …”
A strange smile appeared at the corner of her lips.
“Then I’ll just make you disappear from this world. This is my territory, everyone here is on my side. You won’t get away!”
There was real killing intent in Erica’s eyes.
Maybe in a past life, I had experienced some kind of ‘happiness,‘ and that always made her resent me. She thought that only if I vanished could she finally feel safe.
“But Jasmine, you’re really weak. I can handle you all by myself.”
She seemed to remember how easily she pushed me down the stairs last time and sneered.
But she didn’t know that the reason she could push me so easily was because I had already been extremely weak back then.
Julian had the makeup artist make me look healthy every day, but my body had already been drained.
When I was barely able to escape, she was the one rushing in.
“So, you want to kill me?”
I said calmly, not feeling scared at all.
Erica often spoke without thinking, but the makeup artist was there and the guests were all waiting on the big lawn at the Blakes estate for the wedding.
If she killed me now, there was no way she could hide the body. She was foolish, but not
that foolish.
Just as expected, Erica’s face twitched and she shot me a sharp glare. “Are you kidding
me? Idiot!”
“Erica, is the bridesmaid ready?”
Right on the other side of the door, Julian’s voice came through and I felt a chill run down my spine. I quickly hid, scared.
He opened the door, saw me still wearing that tacky outfit and frowned. “Why hasn’t it started yet?”
The makeup artist looked troubled and didn’t know how to explain.
Luckily, Erica grabbed Julian’s arm and shook it playfully.
“Julian, I already cut ties with her. I don’t want her as my bridesmaid, so I just don’t want her~~”
Her sweet, whiny voice

Julian tensed up but tried to hide his disgust. He raised his hand and patted her. “That’s fine. I’ll pick a bridesmaid from the daughters of old family friends. As long as the wedding goes smoothly, it doesn’t matter.”
Erica happily hugged him. “Julian, I knew you cared about me the most!”
She was lost in the joy of being adored by a controlling CEO, completely unaware that Julian cared less about her and more about the wedding going smoothly.
All he wanted was a flawless ceremony.
Erica deliberately asked in a boastful tone, “Julian, you said after marriage I wouldn’t have to stay at home and could do what I like. I want to act in dramas. You would invest and let me be the female lead, right?”
Julian nodded gently. “Of course.”
Erica looked at me even more proudly. I knew exactly what she was thinking.
In my past life, after I married into a wealthy family, I never appeared in public again.
She thought she had taken my luck and was living a better, more glamorous life, even winning Julian’s favor.
But she was wrong. In my past life, Julian only gave me more sweet talk.
Even though I had the Lucky Frog back then, I stayed clear–headed and thought winning a million–dollar prize and signing the contract was already lucky enough.
I didn’t want to marry into a rich family, especially with this boss who suddenly fell for me at first sight and the original fiancée acting like she was cursed to support it. I just found it suspicious.
Instead of marrying into wealth, I wanted to rely on myself and build my own career.
My family thought it was unrealistic too and supported my choice.
