Chapter 18
Willow’s POV
I walked toward Silas calmly, without any emotion on my face. My heart didn’t race. My hands didn’t shake.”
I had felt everything for Silas once. Now I felt nothing but disgust.”
He looked wild, and desperate. His eyes were pleading, and he was breathing heavily.
“Willow” he breathed out again when I stopped in front of him.
I tilted my head slightly. “I don’t remember inviting you, Alpha Silas.”
He flinched like my words had slapped him. “Don’t do this, Willow,” he said quietly. “You can’t do this.
I crossed my arms, raising an eyebrow. “Do what? Get engaged? Move on? Be happy?”
“You loved me,” he said, voice hoarse. “You told me you loved me.”
“I did,” I replied coolly. “But that was a long time ago.”
Silas stepped closer, ignoring Alastair’s waming growl beside me. “You’re angry, I know you are. I messed up, I know that, but this?” He gestured around the hall like it disgusted him. “You’re doing all this just to hurt me.“”
I gave him a small smile. “Not everything is about you, Silas. Not anymore.”
He blinked. “Then why?” he whispered. “Why him?”
“Because he’s kind,” I answered simply. “Because he listens. Because he made me feel like a person again, and he loves me.” Silas opened his mouth and closed it several times.
“But I thought it was Ana you wanted,” I continued, tilting my head curiously. “I moved aside. I let you h would be happy.”
Silas looked like I had punched him. “You thought I wanted Ana?”
have what you wanted. I thought you
I laughed bitterly. “You slept with her, Silas. You brought her into our home. You harvested our bables for her treatment. What was i supposed to think?“2
He took a step back like my words had punched him, “No, no… Willow, I was confused. I–I didn’t know what I was doing. You were always there always loving me, and I–I was such an idiot.”
I nodded without hesitation. “Yes. You were.”
“Tm sorry” he said. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t know what I had until I lost it. But you can’t marry him. You can’t just leave me like this.”
I shrugged unmoved. “It’s too late, Silas. I’ve moved on ”
He stared at me, his mouth opening and closing, like he was searching for the right words. “You can’t mean that. You loved me for years. How can you just walk away like none of it mattered?”
My smile widened. It was a genuine smile. “I told you earlier, Silas. Things change. People change. Love fades.”
His eyes filled with regret, anger, disbelief, at once. Then, in an instant, it turned into rage.
“This is all fake,” he spat. “You’re doing this to spite me. You’re not happy. You’re not over mel
He lunged forward, trying to grab my wrist, but Alastair was already between us.8
“Don’t touch her he said coldly
Silas pushed him. “Get out of my way! She’s mine!”
The guests gasped. Several warriors moved forward, but Alastair waved them off.
“Don’t disgrace yourself more, Alastair said, voice like ice. “Leave.“)
“Don’t talk to me, Silas growled !!
He lunged again, but this time, Alastair punched him hard. Before he could recover, Alastair slammed his knee into Silas’s head. Then he grabbed him and dragged him out.
“Let me go he yelled “Willow! Don’t let them do this!”)
I didn’t move. I just stared at him with a flat look on my face?
“I love you!” he shouted as they dragged him toward the exit. “I love you, Willow! Please don’t do this!
There was a time when his words would have melted me, and caused my heart to pound. But now, I felt nothing-
Outside, Alastair shoved Silas into the hands of the warmors waiting outside.!!
Silas turned around, clenching his teeth tightly “Do you think this is over?”
Alastair stepped forward calmly. “It is. I warned you on the phone. I am not one to be joked with.”
Silas laughed bitterly as he finally recognized the voice. “You! You were the one on the phone.”
Alastair’s eyes nanowed slightly “Yes, I was ”
Silas growled. “You dared to threaten me.”)
Alastair’s eyes remained cold as he took another step forward. Silas noticed that the warriors around tensed
“That wasn’t a threat, Silas,” he said calmly. “It was a promise
Silas’s jaw twitched. “You think you can scure mo?“!!
45 AM
“That wasn’t a threat, Silas,” he said calmly. “It was a promise.”
Silas’s jaw twitched. “You think you can scare me?”
“No,” Alastair replied, his voice was still calm. “I don’t need to scare you. I just need you to understand that if you step near her again, you won’t walk away next time.
Silas scoffed, but a shiver ran down his spine.
Alastair leaned in slightly. “This is your last warning, Alpha Silas. Stay away from Willow. Don’t write. Don’t call, or I will hunt you down myself, and I promise you, Alpha Silas, you won’t like how that ends.”
Silas flinched, but quickly masked it with a glare. “You don’t scare me,” he repeated, though his voice shook.!
Alastair gave a small, humorless smile. “If you say so.”

Then he stepped back and nodded to the warriors. “Escort him out as roughly as possible.”
Silas struggled as the warriors grabbed him, but they didn’t care. They dragged him away like he was a rabid dog.
Silas screamed and struggled, but it was of no use. “This isn’t over!” he yelled.
