Chapter 18
“Lena? Lena!!”
At this moment in the hospital, Hunter was screaming at the phone that had already been hung up, and suddenly fell off the bed.
The plaster leg hit the ground with a dull sound, but he seemed to feel no pain, crawling forward continuously.
The nurse rushed over when she heard the sound, only to see the man who had once dominated the business world, now looking like a disabled person, dragging his broken leg towards the window.
He kept muttering Lena’s name in his mouth, tears blurred his face.
“Mr. Langdon! You couldn’t do this!”
Hunter turned a deaf ear, he struggled to stand up by the window sill, and let out a desperate cry towards the foreign direction outside the window.
After yesterday’s incident, Lena stayed at home over the weekend and didn’t want to go out again.
But downstairs came a strange noise, she stuck her head out of the window, only to find Nathan shouting her name downstairs.
He always wore a bright smile, no matter how embarrassing things Lena encountered, he could easily resolve them, like a loyal dog accompanying
her.
Lena’s heart fluttered, she put on her clothes and went downstairs to find him.
In order to cheer up Lena, he rode his bike and took her for a ride around

the Seine River.
The two of them chatted and laughed as they looked at the scenery, as if the farce from yesterday was just a nightmare for Lena.
They sat down by the river, spread out a picnic blanket, and bathed in the sunshine.
“How are you feeling? Are you feeling better now? Nathan asked her with a smile.”
Originally, all he did was out of concern for her bad mood.
Lena was very touched and raised her coffee to clink glasses with him, smiling lightly and nodding.
Nathan stared at her for a long time, then suddenly spoke after a moment.
“Tomorrow I have a small photography exhibition at school, would you
like to come and see?”
He handed Lena two invitations, speaking cautiously, his eyes shining like bright stars, with a hint of anticipation but also afraid of her rejection.
“Was I the only one invited?”
“I… Are you leaving me? Nathan looked at Lena in front of him, feeling unable to say what he wanted to say as she flirted with him.”
“Okay. Lena smiled and agreed, her heart at that moment was like the surface of a lake being brushed by willow leaves, rippling.”
The next morning, as Lena was getting ready, Isla walked up to the bathroom and joked, “That boy is waiting for you again.”
She hurriedly packed up her things, glanced out the window, and sure enough, saw Nathan downstairs listening to music.

I don’t know why, but this meeting seemed different from the past, more like a date.
Lena’s heart was pounding as she changed into an elegant dress and hurried downstairs.
When they arrived at the photography exhibition, they carefully read the introduction in the brochure and gradually walked deeper into the venue. Lena, however, saw herself in one of the photos.
In the photos, Lena is either standing in the sunlight or daydreaming in a café, each one is something she had never seen before.
When she didn’t know, Nathan captured these, each photo was like a story, carrying an indescribable atmosphere.
She suddenly realized that Nathan had been secretly taking photos of her.
“When did you take these?”
Nathan laughed shyly and mischievously, “I’m sorry, I always take photos every time we meet. Just consider it a professional habit.”
Upon hearing this, Lena’s ears turned red and she quickly walked towards the next exhibition area.

But when they turned a corner, she suddenly froze.
On this wall hang over a dozen photos of her, all signed by Nathan.
Among them is her profile as she was reading attentively in the library, her back as she was feeding pigeons on a park bench, and even the moment when her hair was tousled by the wind during a picnic by the Seine River that day.
“This… Lena’s face gradually turned red, she turned her head to look at Nathan in disbelief.”

“I wanted to formally invite you today, can you be my model?”
Nathan’s face was full of anticipation as he spoke with great solemnity.
“Model? Lena shook her head repeatedly upon hearing the words.”
“I’d better not, I’m not photogenic.”
“No, you see, in these photos, it’s the most real and beautiful you.”
“Lena, I know you have been stuck in past relationships, I want to help you forget about those things and try new challenges.”
Upon hearing these words, Lena stood still in place, gazing at the smile on her face in the photo, feeling a bit dazed.
She hadn’t seen herself smile like that for a long time.
Nathan reached out his hand and said softly, “So, would you like to be my
model?”
Facing Nathan, Lena always felt that she could trust him unconditionally.
So she took his hand,
“I was willing.”
