Chapter 14
Lena sat in the classroom, taking notes attentively.
She had been living in Paris for two weeks when, with the support of her parents, she returned to school to start her academic career anew.
In this place full of learning atmosphere, she gradually forgot about the grievances she had suffered back home, and focused on studying her
courses.
That day she had just left the library, the spring breeze blowing on her face, the bright weather making her steps light and brisk.
“Hi, where were you going?”
Lena turned around and saw a blond–haired, blue–eyed boy catching up to her.
He and Lena chose the same elective course. Recently, he has been constantly appearing near her, finding various reasons to harass her.
Lena was overwhelmed, but she was also powerless.
“How did you think about what happened last time at the coffee shop? he asked.”
“Sorry, I made it clear last time that I don’t want to start a new relationship. Please don’t come looking for me again.”
After firmly refusing, Lena hugged her books and walked away with a displeased expression.
“Hey! Don’t always reject me, I really like you! You’ve never dated me; how do you know you don’t like me.”

The man shouted loudly behind him, causing other students passing by to stop and gather on the roadside, cheering along.

The original good mood was interrupted, Lena almost about to get angry, when suddenly, someone tapped on her shoulder.
“Dear, how come you are here?”
Turning my head, I found that the person speaking beside me was actually Nathan.
“So, it was him who has been harassing you all this time, like you said last time.”
With that, Nathan furrowed his brow and glared at the man with an unfriendly expression.
“Sorry, I didn’t know you had a boyfriend, the man said, glancing at the two of them before leaving in disappointment.”
Facing the crowd watching the farce on the side, Nathan also lied without changing his expression.
“Let’s go, dear. Let’s take a walk by the lake, he said, and then he led Lena away.”
For some reason, Lena stared at their intertwined hands in a trance.
When they reached a deserted place, Nathan ‘immediately let go of Lena’s hand and turned around to apologize, looking slightly embarrassed.
“I’m sorry, I saw that you seemed a little uncomfortable, so I came over and pulled you away.”
“No! I still have to thank you, you saved me for the second time…”
Lena looked at him and the fierce look he had just had was like two different people, she smiled to herself.

After their last meeting, the two of them have been keeping in touch on social media. What surprised Lena was that Nathan was also a student at the same school.
The two of them did not immediately part ways, but instead took a walk by the lake and chatted.
“I was in the photography department; how come I never saw you at school?”
“I just started school last week, Lena explained with a smile.”
“Oh, by the way, did you like the last photo I sent you? Nathan asked curiously.”
Thinking about the last time she saw the photo, Lena remembered the emotions she felt when she received it.
She hadn’t smiled like in the photo for a long time. In the last few years by Hunter’s side, she seemed to always be crying, swallowing grievances and humiliations, always accommodating and enduring, but in the end, all she got was abandonment by her lover.

That day seemed to be the most relaxed day she had had in recent years.
“I really liked it, thank you Nathan.”
Seeing her smiling face, Nathan was momentarily stunned, but then he also smiled.
“Nathan, can you help me take a few more photos today? I want to see how I have changed since coming to Paris.”
She spoke with a smile, her hair fluttering in the wind, the dazzling sunlight seemed to cast a golden edge on her, making her look as beautiful as a painting.
Nathan nodded in his heart, and snapped a picture of this beautiful scene
