Chapter 13
Back in the villa, as soon as Hunter stepped through the door, he caught a whiff of a pleasant fragrance.
The living room was dimly lit, with many scented candles placed on the dining table. Eleanor also heard some noise and came downstairs from
upstairs.
She walked slowly in sexy pajamas, with a seductive smile on her face.
If it had been a few days ago, he would have been eager to take her back to the room, but seeing the scene again today, he only felt a wave of nausea in his stomach.
“Hunter, you’re back! Are you hungry? I made some Western food, come and have some.”
Eleanor lay on top of him, her hands constantly moving down, caressing his body.
Hunter remained indifferent, grabbing her hand with a cold expression on his face.
Seeing this, Eleanor felt a little timid, but she still mustered up the courage to drag him towards the restaurant.
“Just now I called to urge you, are you mad at me? She helped Hunter sit down, put a piece of steak in his bowl, and carefully cut it with a knife and fork.”
As she spoke, Eleanor twisted her waist and leaned in, sitting on his lap and giving him a kiss, trying to win his favor.
The nightgown was almost transparent, with very little fabric, and the

lace trim made her look even more pitiful.
Hunter, however, interrupted her as if he couldn’t see her, and asked tentatively, “Do you know where Lena went?”
At the mention of that name, Eleanor excitedly rose from his lap, as if she had instantly transformed into a different person.
“Why are you mentioning that woman again? Did you really go see her just now?”
She circled behind Hunter, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pouted, looking very aggrieved.
“Hunter, have you forgotten what you promised me? You said there would be no more Lena, that you would only be with me, only take care of me…”
Upon hearing this, Hunter’s face instantly turned cold.
“Did I promise you?”
He sneered, took out his phone, and opened the recording file copied from
the USB drive.
“I was planning to jump off the balcony. Do you think Hunter would believe you wanted to kill me?”
A familiar voice came, and Eleanor froze in place.
“What… What is this!”
Eleanor’s eyes flashed with a hint of panic as she rushed forward to the phone, but was kicked away by Hunter.

“What is this you’re saying? Have you forgotten what you said before?”
She clutched her stomach, her face pale, hands tightly gripping the edge

of the table, and defended herself, “Hunter! This wasn’t me! It must be that woman framing me! She fabricated the audio!!”
“Forgery? Then what are all these?”
Hunter’s face was stoic as he scrolled through all the chat records on the USB drive, showing Eleanor each screenshot one by one. Every word of provocation and threat was a key factor that led Lena to leave him.
Eleanor knelt on the ground and crawled to Hunter’s feet. “Hunter, you have to believe me. Have you forgotten? It was back in the fishing village. I was the one who saved you!”
Hunter heard her mention the fishing village, feeling even more annoyed, not even giving her a proper look.
“Fisherman’s village? You lied to me before, saying we were boyfriend and girlfriend, it was all a trap set by you, wasn’t it?!”
“No!! I didn’t lie to you!”
Seeing the situation exposed, she shouted hoarsely, trying to evoke a trace of Hunter’s change of heart.
“Hunter, all of this is because I loved you too much. I fell in love with you at first sight back in the fishing village. If it wasn’t for you remembering that woman Lena, I could have been with you forever!”
“Shut up!”
Hunter’s eyes turned crimson as he interrupted her, “Love me? So you planned for the chandelier to fall on Lena, you killed her cat, and staged a suicide attempt to gain my sympathy? Is that how much you love me?”
“I saw that you were just trying to use me, to leave your poor and remote village!”
He walked up to Eleanor from a higher position and forcefully pulled her

arm to lift her up.
His eyes were cold, and he raised his hand to slap her hard across the left side of her face.
“This slap is for Lena. You tortured her repeatedly in the past, causing her harm. Now, I’m making you taste the same pain she felt back then.”
After finishing speaking, he then backhanded her right cheek.
“This slap was from me. You deceived me for so many years, acted so convincingly, fooled me completely. I want you to never have a good life again!”
After being slapped a few times, Eleanor’s ears were buzzing, and her
cheeks were swollen.
Hunter hit her for a long time, so long that his own hands were a little numb, before finally getting up, leaving behind the battered Eleanor, and walking away from the mansion.
