Chapter 6
Of course she knew him.
Just haven’t seen in a long time.
Across the past life, Lira was momentarily confused, and it took a while before she called out, “Brent.”
Brent.
Boston was like a prince for real, he and Xander were buddies, their families were close, unlike Xander who went into business, he joined the military, eight years ago, rarely came back, every time he came back Lira could see him.
No other, Xander and Brent’s mutual friend Octavio liked to gather people together. She could only see Brent when she followed Xander, not often, only three times a year.
The last time Lira saw him was at Xander’s funeral in the previous life. He was already a rear admiral in the navy, at the age of only thirty–five, which was unprecedented.
She called out “Brant,” making Brent smirk and ask jokingly. “Not calling me uncle anymore?”
One sentence reminded Lira of a past embarrassing moment – the first time she met Brent, introduced by Xander as his friend, she blurted out
“uncle.”
Brent was fourteen at the time, and he coldly replied, “I don’t have a niece that old.”
Lira made a big fool of herself
Xander helped her out, Just call Brent.”
Lira quickly corrected herself, “Brent”
Brent didn’t respond, just walked past her with a lazy pace, the air feeling chilly.
Lira knew back then that he was cold–beamed, and he and Xander were like two peas in a pod.
Later on, every time we met also confirmed her judgment. No matter how lively the occasion was, he always kept to himself, like he was in his own world. Everyone in the circle knew that this prince was aloof and not easy to get close to.
“Hop in Brent said casually, not waiting for her response, and tilted his head towards the Mercedes–Benz G–Class
Lira was momentarily confused, “Where to?”
“We’re going to grab some food. The back window rolled down, revealing Erica’s face.
Lira:
Did you just fall asleep?
Erica had already opened the door and greeted her, “Come on up, Lira, Brent just left, and I didn’t feel like driving, so I let him give me a ride.”
I almost forgot, these two are cousins.
Lira got in the car calmly. Before she could close the door, Brent stretched out his long legs and kicked the door shut.
Well, a car worth over two million, it’s not worth the scion’s pity.
The car drove away, Erica started cueing the process, cursing Roselyn
“If she didn’t stage it herself, I would have twisted her head off and used it as a soccer ball.”
*What brand of garbage bag is she usingle can hold so much.”
“How old were your parents when they got senile dementia, confused, and couldn’t recognize people?”
Next, Erica went around and greeted every member of the Faulkner family, even the ancestors who had passed away many years ago.
When she saw that she was thirsty, Lira opened the mineral water and handed it to her.
Erica took a few sips and deared her throat before realizing something was wrong. “Why aren’t you angry?”

This is not Lira at all
Having been treated so unfairly, I shouldn’t have just kept calm without giving Roselyn a few big slaps

“Annoyed.” I said I was annoyed, but there was no trace of anger in my expression, and my voice remained steady. Brent glanced at her through the rearview mirror and didn’t say anything.
“You don’t look angry at all.” Erica looked even more puzzled “Lira, are you just pretending to be mad?”
Lira “I cut ties with them.”
Erica: “!!!”
again from the rearview mirror.
Brent glanced at her again
“It’s not worth it, we can be angry and leave home, but we can’t hurt ourselves by hurting others. Why should your parents and brother be given to Roselyn, a nobody who doesn’t deserve the Faulkner name?” Erica felt like she had lost her mind in anger.
Lira: “Is Faulkner a noble surname? If she likes it, just change her surname to Faulkner.”
Erica: “You don’t want parents either?”
Lita: “Do people who don’t love me want to cause trouble?”
Erica: “And there’s also the family estate.
Lira sneered: “She had the ability to take it from Blake, let’s see if Blake would give it to her.”
Her dad, that guy, was okay with keeping Roselyn well–fed and well–clothed for the sake of his reputation, but giving away his inheritance to children from other men? No way.
Erica also wanted to persuade her, but caught a glimpse of Brent shaking his head, sticking out his tongue, and saying, “Cut it off! It must be cut off! With such confused parents, should we keep celebrating the New Year with them?
He patted his chest and promised, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.”
Lira laughed, “Is your allowance enough for you to spend on your own?”
Erica: “Not cool enough like Brent, right Brent?”
Brent: “Hmm”
Her voice was faint, as if she was just going through the motions.
Lira laughed and didn’t take Brent’s words seriously. She knew how to take care of herself. During the three years she was sent abroad in her past life, she also learned some survival skills
