Chapter 4
By weekend’s end, Grace moved out of the Kaufman’s place.
She happened to bump into Antonio as he was coming home.
Noticing his inscrutable stare, she explained briefly, “Mr. Kaufman, I plan to move out due to my marriage.”
Antonio’ voice was icy. “Don’t make your marriage a constant topic. You’re not family; leave whenever you like.”
He then tasked her with planning his upcoming vacation.
“I will be vacationing in Drakoria with Livia. Make a travel plan for us.”
From the hotel to personnel, from the weather to preferences, Antonio detailed the arrangements meticulously for over half an hour
For the first time, Gracee witnessed the depth of his care for someone.
Reviewing the detailed itinerary, she recalled her own past.
She knew Drakoria was beautiful.
Grace had mentioned several times that Livia wanted to go there and even made it a birthday wish.
But he always was too busy with work to spend time with her.
The next seven days were peaceful, devoid of the usual demands.
Livia’s daily vacation photos flooded social media.
One day, Devin’s secretary contacted Grace to view a new place in Zephyria’s villa district.
After viewing two houses, the secretary was called away.
Left to wander alone, Grace found it rather dull, deciding to head back.
Just then she heard two familiar voices outside a neighboring villa.
“Antonio, why did you suddenly decide to buy me a house?”
“You like shopping, don’t you? This place is located in Zephyria, surrounded by malls.”
“How sweet you are. You’re as thoughtful as ever.’
Midway through their conversation, Livia was surprised to see Grace. “What are you doing here?” she asked.
Antonio turned furious. “Are you spying on me again?”

Grace hadn’t expected to run into Antonio. She hastily explained, “No, I came to see the house.”
“Grace, do you know the cost of the houses in the area?” Livia asked, incredulous.
Antonio found it absurd, a smirk tugging at his lips. “Don’t tell me this is your new marital home.”
Grace nodded.
Livia’s curiosity was piqued. “What’s your husband’s name?”
Grace remained silent, fearing repercussions for Devin.
Antonio’s brow furrowed. “If you’re here to buy and have seen enough, call your husband. Otherwise, I might just take it off your hands.”
His emphasis on “husband” was pointed.
Knowing the villa suited Devin and that Antonio’ competitive nature would likely make him pursue it as well, .Gracee called Devin.
