Mayra raised an eyebrow, a mocking glint flashing in her eyes. All she could think was how utterly foolish Jordon was to say something like that in front of the police.
And here they were, in Moonlight Club. If the police were brave enough to step in, it meant they were ready to face off against any power.
Sure enough, an officer didn’t even flinch. “I don’t care who you are,” he said, grabbing Jordon firmly.
Mayra smirked, her lips curling slightly. “Mr. Riddle, where’s Draven?”
“Jordon had just texted Mayra about Draven being in the hospital, and now, knowing full well, Mayra was playing dumb–deliberately throwing it in his face.”
Jordon’s lips trembled, his composure faltering. He had never been this angry and helpless.
The police tightened their grip on Jordon’s arm. “Tell us the truth. Where’s the other guy?”
Jordon was humiliated. The people who had just flattered him were now watching the drama unfold like they were watching a show.
His pride, the very thing he cherished the most, was now being trampled by Mayra.
Jordon would make sure to get back at her.
A crowd had gathered outside the booth. Jordon was a regular here, and anyone who mingled in this circle knew him.

“Isn’t that Jordon? What’s the police doing here?”
“What’s going on? Neil’s here tonight. Someone should let him know.”
At those words, Jordon’s face went pale.
“Don’t go.”
But before he could stop them, the crowd parted, and a man in a black shirt stepped forward.

She gave a slight smile, her face calm as she replied, “I hope that’s a satisfactory answer. You wouldn’t be trying to intimidate me now that we’re alone, would you?”

Mayra turned to find Colten, sitting in his wheelchair. Behind him was a young man pushing it, and a couple more stood close by, likely his friends.
They were nothing like Ronan and his gang–these men exuded a refined, royal air.
Neil pulled out a card and slapped it lightly against Mayra’s cheek. “3.5 million dollars. Will that suffice?”
A hush money offer–once she stepped out, no one would mention tonight’s events again.
Plus, she had already stripped Jordon of his dignity. For at least this period, Jordon wouldn’t dare to make trouble for her.
Mayra held the card between her fingers, her expression calm, but with a touch of amusement. “What happened tonight? I have no idea. Have a good night, Mr. Riddle.”
Neil’s gaze flickered with sarcasm as he turned away, strolling towards Colten.
