Chapter 22 Doesn’t She Feel Ashamed?
Mayra had initially planned to slip the cheap, low–quality drugs she’d bought into the drinks of the group, but upon hearing Jordon’s words, she decided against it.
Slowly, she took off the hat she was wearing, her tone both confused and calm as she said, “Mr. Riddle, are you willing to take responsibility for your words?”
Jordon didn’t expect Mayra to actually show up in person. His expression instantly shifted, his face filled with malice.
“Mayra! You still dare to show your face in front of me?”
Mayra scanned the room, and then she said, “I’ve already called the police. You just said that Draven had his way with me all night, but I have no memory of it, so I suspect Draven may have drugged me. Given
that you said you heard the sounds yourself, you should be able to testify for me, right, Mr. Riddle?”

Jordon froze, his face flushing bright red with anger as he realized what Mayra was doing.
The room was filled with rich young men—privileged, well–connected, and with strict family rules. More importantly, most of them had real heirs to answer to. If things got out of hand, they’d be in trouble.
Being caught by the police was beyond embarrassing.
“Who told you to call the police? Mayra, are you looking for trouble?”
Jordon was so furious he was about to strike, but at that moment, several police officers pushed the door open. They entered with stern expressions.

The young men in the booth instantly shrank back, trying to hide, fearing they’d be dragged away. If their families found out, they’d be done for.
Mayra’s eyes reddened, and she quickly raised her hand. “I made the call, sir. Someone said Draven drugged me last night, but I have no memory of it. I suspect he used something on me. Mr. Riddle said he heard everything, and he can testify to that. Can you, Mr. Riddle?”
Jordon’s face turned crimson with rage. His fists clenched, and he held his breath.
The officers‘ gaze fell on Mayra. She lowered her head, looking sincere and not at all like someone lying.
They then turned to Jordon, and after a moment, one of them waved his hand and said, “You both need to come with us to the Police Station. And who’s Draven? If you’re here, step up and join us.”
Drugging someone wasn’t a small matter, and with five police officers involved, this wasn’t going to end quietly.
And considering this was Moonlight Club, once the police opened the booth door, a crowd had already gathered outside, curious to see what was happening.
All eyes were now on Jordon. He was always the one in the spotlight, the one people adored. He was never the one being treated like an outcast.
His lips trembled as he realized how badly Mayra had escalated things.
Jordon thought, “Didn’t she feel any shame? A woman in this kind of situation is supposed to just take it and keep quiet. But Mayra has gone down a different path.”
And now, Mayra was making matters worse.

“Mr. Riddle, the police are here. Would you mind repeating what you just said? I know Draven is close to you, and maybe you’re hesitant to make things public, but if we work together to send him to jail, he’ll never be a problem for you again.”
“Mayra!”
Jordon raised his hand, ready to slap her.
The police instantly stepped in front of Mayra, their expressions hardening.
“So you dare to strike the victim in front of us? That’s an additional charge.”
Silver handcuffs were snapped onto Jordon’s wrists.
Jordon had never been so humiliated. He froze for a moment, panic flashing across his face. He instinctively explained, “I didn’t mean it. I……”
Mayra covered her face, sobbing, “Mr. Riddle, don’t my reputation matter at all to you? Why won’t you just tell the truth? Everyone in this room heard I say it. Sir, if you don’t believe me, ask the others here.”

The officers turned to the dozen or so people sitting in the booth. Everyone quickly looked away, avoiding eye contact.
“Jordon did say that.”
“Yeah, we all heard it.”
They knew that if they didn’t admit it, Mayra would accuse them of participating in the so–called “drugging” as well. Once the Police Station notified their families, they’d all be in deep trouble.
So they had no choice but to distance themselves.

Mayra’s face lit up with gratitude as she looked at the few who spoke. “Thank you. You’re all so kind. You’re not afraid of the Riddle family’s power, and you’re brave enough to testify for someone like me. I’m so touched.”
Not afraid of the Riddle family’s power? Those words were meant for
Jordon.

From now on, every time Jordon tried to hang out with these so–called friends, he’d probably remember the scene where he was stabbed in the back.
His friends would definitely stay away from him.
Jordon’s face turned a shade of steel, his eyes burning with fury as he glared at those who spoke.
The others quickly avoided his gaze, too scared to meet his eyes.
The officers, clearly done with the situation, grabbed Jordon and said, “You’re coming with us. You’ll explain everything at the Police Station.”
“I’m not going! Let go of me! Do you know who I am?” Jordon shouted.
