Chapter 17 I’ll Wait for You
Ronan’s words were so absurd that Mayra was stunned.
She had to apologize just because Viviana cried?
Amused, she retorted, “Why should I? I gotta apologize because I’m breathing the same air as her?”
Ronan was at a loss for words to talk back.
Grabbing his sleeve, Viviana looked at Mayra with tears in her eyes.
“Mayra, I deserved that slap yesterday. Don’t be upset anymore, OK? Mom was asking about you at dinner tonight. She wanted to know when you’ll come back. Shaun is on summer break now. You can’t keep throwing a tantrum like this and make everyone unhappy because of you, right?”
Being reminded, Ronan quickly said, “That’s right! You slapped Vivi yesterday. Apologize! Now!”
Looking at the jerk and the angelic bitch, Mayra smiled, “You guys go way back, right? I presume you shared the same ward when you were at the same mental hospital. You both are delusional. One fantasizes about me being obsessed with him, and the other foolishly thinks I wanna fight with her for some cheap affection. You need help. Go and ask the doctors to take a look at you, OK? It might be too late if you wait any longer.”
With that, she strode away.
Ronan was furious. Only now did he know how sharp–tongued Mayra
was.

He subconsciously let go of Viviana’s waist and went after Mayra.
“Mayra, what’s that all about? You have feelings for me, right? How could you say such things to me?”
Standing in the lobby, Viviana looked at the two’s retreating figures, her face turning vicious at once.
She called Jordon.
“What’s up, Vivi?”
She said in a broken voice, “Jordon, I…”
Jordon panicked at once. He walked out of the private room and went to somewhere quiet.
“Did Mayra pick on you again?” he asked.
“No… She slapped me. That’s all. Jordon, I don’t mean anything else. I’m just feeling down and wanna hear your voice.”
“That bitch! Don’t worry. I’ll make things right for you,” Jordan said sternly.
A smile flashed across Viviana’s eyes, and she felt much better.
She could wrap any man around her finger as long as she wanted to..
By this time, Mayra had already reached a cab. Looking at her, Ronan crossed his arms. “You never rode in cars worth less than 500 thousand dollars.”
Mayra got into the cab. “Let’s meet up at my family’s villa, Ronan. I wanna break off the engagement.”
The smug on Ronan’s face was immediately replaced by sullenness.
Chapter 17 Wat for You
“Mayra, drop the act. You’re going too far.”
Mayra leaned back while sitting upright, looking like an unyielding rose.
“I’ll wait for you at my family’s villa at 7 p.m. tomorrow.”
Then she asked the driver to leave.
Standing in situ, Ronan fixed his gaze on the departing cab without blinking.
Suddenly, someone wrapped her arms around his waist from behind.
Viviana’s tearful voice rang out. “Ronan…“.
“Vivi, Mayra said to break off the engagement with me at your family’s villa at 7 p.m. tomorrow.”
A trace of surprise flashed across Viviana’s eyes as she said, looking aggrieved, “She has said that many times already. When the time really comes, she’ll just come up with a bunch of excuses to back out. She just wants your attention. But it seems she has gotten her way this time. Ronan, have you fallen for her?”
Feeling a bit guilty, Ronan quickly cupped her face and pecked her lips.
“Nonsense. I simply think something in her eyes has changed. She’s even more annoying now.
Viviana’s expression turned cold, and she pressed her lips together tightly.
“Ronan, did you see Colten at work today? I hear he came.”
“Yes, I did. How odd. This is the first time he’s shown up at work since he came back to the country.”
Viviana’s expression turned even more grim. She even clenched her hand
at her side into a fist slowly, her nails digging into her palm.
“Really? Maybe he’s here because of Mayra.”
Ronan laughed out loud as if he had heard the funniest joke. “Really? You don’t think Colten is interested in her, do you? Come on. Mayra is just eye candy. She’s got nothing but a pretty face. Colten isn’t interested in being with women.”
Viviana slowly wiped the blood from her palm, her expression softening as she looked up. “I was just saying.”
She thought, “That bitch Mayra is gonna die soon anyway.”
