Mayra found it amusing and couldn’t be bothered to respond. She tried to walk past Ronan.
Ronan grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the wall. “Or are you trying to drive a wedge between me and Vivi?”
Mayra felt the urge to slap him.
Just then, the executive elevator opened. Mayra saw Colten in a wheelchair for the first time.
He wore a dark suit. Even sitting in a wheelchair, he exuded an impressive aura.
He looked unapproachable.
His face was still as striking as ever. Everything paled around him. wherever he was.
Mayra and Ronan stood close to each other, which could easily cause people to misunderstand the situation.
Just as she was about to push Ronan away, Colten spoke, “According to rule 98 of the employee handbook, office romances are not allowed.”
Mayra felt a chill run down her spine. Colten completely got it wrong.
However, Ronan rubbeditin. “Colten, Mayra’s just throwing a tantrum. I’ll calm her down. She’s my fiancée. I can’t let her join the Morton Group because she simply wants to be with me. She’s never liked doing chores and has no skills for office work. This place isn’t for her.”

Mayra felt a wave of disgust. He said that she was his fiancée, but he slept. with Viviana.
Instantly, she decided to break off the engagement with Ronan to avoid further issues.
Mayra looked at Colten, attempting to explain, while he turned to look at her.
She felt heartache as she looked at his intense eyes.
The atmosphere became tense. Colten’s presence was oppressing, causing everyone present to instinctively lower their heads.
Ronan’s face turned pale, and his hand holding Mayra was trembling slightly.
Mayra sneered internally, “What a loser!”
Colten maneuvered his wheelchair down another hallway.
As soon as he left, the atmosphere lightened.
Ronan let out a breath, mumbling, “Colten just returned from abroad. He hasn’t been to the office in the past few days. Why did he show up today?”
Mayra pushed him away. “Ronan, don’t you want to break off the engagement? Let’s inform our parents and make an appointment to officially end this.”
Ronan thought he was hallucinating. He had always believed Mayra would never say the words “break off the engagement“.
Now she said them with disdain.
Panic surged within him. He grabbed her by the neck. “What did you say? Come again!”
Growing up in the Morton family, he had always gotten what he wanted. No one had ever disdained him like that.
Mayra was known for her beauty and had chased him for five years, which he found annoying.
Now she wanted to break off the engagement.
“Mayra, you caught my attention this time. Are you trying to provoke me because I ignored you? Only I can propose to end the engagement. Don’t even think about it. Don’t forget that you jumped off a bridge when I proposed to end it. If it weren’t for that, we should’ve done with each other.”
Mayra’s neck hurt, her face turning red.
She raised her hand to slap him, but Ronan caught it.
His face was full of anger. “Let’s have dinner tonight. Knock it off.”
When he finished speaking, Mayra kicked him in his most vulnerable spot.
Ronan instinctively crouched, cold sweat forming on his forehead from the pain.
Mayra adjusted her clothes. She had bought them hastily online, and they were of poor quality. After being tugged at by Ronan, they were now crumpled and even a button had popped off. She looked as if she had just had sex.
“I’ll pass, Ronan. I don’t have an appetite to eat
Jou. Go lind Vivi. I’m
serious about breaking off the engagement. I’ll tell our families when I have time. They’ll probably support it.”
After all, the entire Oliver family sided with Viviana.

She walked down another hallway, trying to familiarize herself with the environment. Turning a corner, she ran into Colten again.
Colten’s gaze lingered on her disheveled clothes and the red marks on her neck.
The marks appeared to have been caused during sex rather than being pinched.
His eyes narrowed.
