The man stood nearly 1.9 meters tall, his strong, sculpted frame and sharply chiseled features seeming carved from stone
He looked like a world–class model, yet his presence was wrapped in quiet restraint and cool aloofness, making him seem distant and untouchable.
Only now did Rosalie realize the man who had caught James before his fall was this very figure before her.
She hurried forward, gratitude shining in her eyes. “Thank you for saving my son just now. If it’s not too much trouble, may I invite you to a meal?”
Her sincerity was heartfelt; she knew that without his timely help, James might have faced grave danger.
Just then, her parents rushed over as well. They greeted the man warmly, clearly recognizing him. “Dr. Chandler, you’re at the airport too?” They then introduced him to Rosalie. “Rosalie, this is Dr. Weston Chandler. He’s the family doctor we told you about. Since he took over James’s care, his condition has improved tremendously. And the surgery that will finally cure James, Weston will be the lead surgeon.“N Rosalie’s admiration for Weston deepened as she looked at him. Now, she understood the source of his commanding presence. To master such advanced medical skills at a young age was bound to make someone a little distant from others.
She smiled warmly and said, “In that case, I absolutely must treat Weston to a proper meal to show my thanks.”> Weston gave a simple nod, “Hmm.“>>
Before she could reply, Weston was already carrying James, heading toward the airport exit.”
The little boy nestled perfectly in his arms, their movements so natural it was easy to mistake them for father and son.
Passersby couldn’t help but whisper in awe, “Wow! That dad is so handsome! And the little boy is adorable! I’m so jealous of his mom, such a great husband and such a sweet child…”
Weston’s steps quickened subtly, and a faint blush colored the tips of his ears.
Watching them from behind, Rosalie couldn’t help but think of Easton. Easton had been tall and handsome too, if he were still here, surely he would hold James just as tenderly, just as lovingly.”
The thought brought fresh tears to Rosalie’s eyes. She clenched her fist softly, then rested her hand gently over her belly.
Alive or not, Easton was gone, but she would live well with James. A future filled with happiness and peace was just within reach.
The Redmond family called a wealthy neighborhood in Ireland home. Over the years, Rosalie’s parents had built a thriving business and amassed a considerable fortune.
Weston had become James’s live–in doctor.
Behind his reserved exterior, Weston revealed a different side at home: skilled, attentive, and deeply caring.
He not only managed James’s medication and daily routines with precision but also watched closely over his diet, leaving nothing to chance.
Weston explained gently as he prepared a nourishing meal, “Rather than relying heavily on medication, I prefer nutritional therapy for children. It’s safer and better for James in the long run.”
There was no denying it. A man’s charm could wear many faces. At the airport, Weston’s ascetic presence had been striking, but here at home, he radiated the warmth of a steady, dependable man.}
Gratefully, Rosalie said, “Thank you for taking such good care of James.“}}
During this visit to Ireland, she could clearly see how much James’s health had improved, progress that had surely taken time and care.
When the chicken soup was ready, a bowl was placed gently before Rosalie.}
Weston’s deep, comforting voice wrapped around her like a soft blanket. “You don’t look well. I made this special chicken soup to help you recover.“}
