“Sarah loved me! Give her back!”
I don’t know how long they fought. They were
interrupted by a middle–aged man being
brought in by security.
“Mr. Rivers, Mr. Crestwood… ah, Mr. Thorne
doesn’t seem to be here. I came specifically to
deliver a letter of thanks to Miss Sarah Miller.”
They didn’t care about the stranger at first, but
when they heard my name, they froze.
“She saved you all from that hotel fire, and she
saved me, too. I’ve been trying to thank her in
person, but it took me this long to find her
address.”
“What did you say?!”
Chad, who had just arrived, grabbed the man’s
collar, his eyes burning with rage.

The man seemed stunned and began to explain,
trembling.
“Miss Miller saved me from that fire. When I got
out, I saw her taking care of you three. Then it
seemed she was seriously injured and was
taken away by an ambulance. I don’t know what
happened after that.”
I had explained what happened that day so
many times, but no one believed me.
They were convinced I was making it up
because I was jealous of Amber.
Now, finally, they knew the truth.
Chad’s hand fell limp. He laughed, a wild,
unhinged sound.
“Hahahahaha… what life–saving grace? I had
the wrong person all this time… and I killed my
sister because of it. I’m the murderer. It should

Ethan’s face was white as a sheet. He let go of
Jason’s collar and stared blankly, his eyes
crazed and empty.
Jason slammed his head against the wall in
agony, his voice raw.
“Sarah… why? Why didn’t I believe you? How
could this happen? I killed you. I’m the murderer.”
The three of them laughed like madmen, a terrifying sight.
It took them three full days to process the fact.
After three days, the first thing they did was find Amber.
Chad kicked open the door to Amber’s villa. She was happy to see him at first and started
to walk toward him.

“Chad, you guys–ah!”
Chad slammed her against the wall, his hand
wrapped around her throat, his eyes dark and
menacing.
“You stole my sister’s credit. Amber, how could
you be so evil? You made us ignore her for all
those years!”
Hearing his words, Amber’s eyes widened in
fear.
The lie she had relied on for so many years, the
secret she thought she could keep forever, had
been exposed just like that.
“I… I didn’t! It wasn’t on purpose! Chad, believe
me!”
Chad’s grip tightened. Amber could barely
breathe.
“Chad, let go. Do you want to kill her?”
Ethan’s voice cut in, stopping Chad just in time.
Amber thought Ethan was still on her side and
looked at him with hope, only to be met with his
icy glare.
“I will hire the best lawyers. For everything
you’ve done these past few years, for every
crime you committed against Sarah, you will
pay the price.”
Jason didn’t even look at her. He just waved a
hand, and a group of men came in and dragged
Amber away.
She had used the power of the three men to do
as she pleased for years, breaking laws and
committing crimes. With the top lawyers Ethan
hired, she would spend the rest of her life in
prison.
