Chapter 13

Leonardo

A few minutes earlier…

I watched Hannah walk away toward the restroom, her hips swaying with each step. Her black dress hugged her curves perfectly, making it

impossible to tear my gaze away

The moment she disappeared from view, I allowed myself a satisfied smile. Twenty thousand dollars was nothing to me, but to her, it was life- changing. I could see it in her eyes when 1 named the figure

Most women who entered these arrangements had a certain practiced quality: a rehearsed laugh, calculated body language, and eyes constantly assessing what they could extract from me

Hannah was raw and unfiltered. When she blushed, it wasn’t an act; when she stammered, it wasn’t a strategy

I signaled the bartender for another whiskey, savoring the burn as I contemplated what awaited upstairs. My other sugar babies had all been experienced women who knew the game and played it well. There was something refreshing about Hannah’s obvious inexperience: her breath Jeaught when I mentioned calling me Daddy, and her eyes widened when I discussed my preferences

Her beauty was undeniable; those curves and that skin begged to be touched, but it was her authenticity that intrigued me most. In my world, genuine reactions were rare currency. I had become adept at identifying fakery and seeing through masks. Hannah wore no mask. Her nervousness, her excitement, and her hesitation were all real

I took another sip, picturing her undressing in my suite. Those breasts would fill my hands perfectly. I’d seen how they strained against her dress when she leaned forward, nipples hardening whenever my gaze lingered too long. My body responded to the mental image, and I shifted in my seat to accommodate the growing pressure

Movement in my peripheral vision caught my attention. A man at the bar glancing too frequently in my direction. When our eyes met briefly, he turned away with unnatural speed, suddenly fascinated by his phone. My instincts, honed through years of survival in my world, flared to life

I watched the man more carefully now, tracking his movements while pretending to check my phone. His eyes darted toward me one more time before he slid off his barstool and headed for the exit. Too deliberate. Too rushed

Fuck,I muttered under my breath

I tossed back the rest of my whiskey and followed him discreetly. The bastard moved fast, pushing through the pub’s main doors and heading toward the hotel elevators

I kept my pace casual but quick. Years in my line of work taught me that looking like you belong somewhere is half the battle. The other half is

knowing when to strike

The man ducked into a service hallway just past the main lobby. I slipped in after him, staying back far enough that my footsteps wouldn’t echo. He had his phone pressed to his ear, speaking in urgent, hushed tones

Yeah, he’s still at the bar.A pause. Suite 3201

my My blood ran cold. That was my suite. My private sanctuary in this hotel I owned. Someone had leaked information, and now these fuckers thought they could ambush

I closed the distance between us in three long strides. The man sensed me too late, turning just as my fist connected with his throat. He dropped the phone, gasping and clutching at his neck

I grabbed him by his collar and slammed him against the wall. Who sent you?”

His eyes bulged, face turning purple as he struggled for air. I eased the pressure slightly

Fuck you,” he wheezed

I pressed my forearm against his windpipe. Wrong answer.”

I’m justthe lookout,he choked out

Chapter 13

For who?I demanded

Instead of answering, he tried to knee me in the groin. Amateur mave. I blocked it easily and delivered a precise blow to his temple. His eyes rolled back, and he slumped to the floor

1 patted him down, finding a cheap bumer phone and a key card to my suite. He had no wallet or . He was professional enough to know not to carry identification but not skilled enough to handle a simple confrontation

I needed to move fast, Hannah would be heading up to the suite soon, and I’d be damned if I let her walk into an ambush meant for me. I pulled out my phone to call James Norton, my righthand man but hesitated. If someone had leaked my suite number, I couldn’t trust anyone right now

The elevator took me to the 30th floor. I’d take the stairs the rest of the way up, approach from an unexpected angle. My gun was holstered under my jacket a comfort i never went without

1 reached the 32nd floor and moved silently down the hall toward my suite. The door appeared closed, undisturbed. I pulled out my key card, inserted in silently, and waited for the soft click

Taking a deep breath, I pushed the door open and slipped inside. The suite appeared empty, but the hairs on the back of my Someone had been here- the air smelled different, disturbed

my neck st

stood up

moved through the living room toward the bedroom, gun drawn now. A soft creak from the bathroom caught my attention. I changed direction, stepping silently across the plush carpet

The bathroom door exploded outward as a man rushed me, knife slashing through the air where my face had been a second before. I sidestepped, grabbed his wrist, and twisted until something snapped. The knife clattered to the floor as he bowled in pain

A second attacker emerged from the bedroom this one with a gun. I used the first man as a shield, shoving him forward as a bullet tore through his chest. The woman I hadn’t noticed until now appeared from behind the kitchen counter, also armed

op it, she ordered, her voice steady

Drop

I laughed. In my own fucking hotel? I don’t think so.”

I fired twice through the first man’s body, hitting the second attacker in the shoulder and neck. He went down gurgling. The woman got off one wild shot that shattered a vase before my bullet caught her between the eyes

The suite fell silent except for my heavy breathing. Three bodies, blood spreading across my pristine white carpet. I kicked the knife away from the first man’s reach as he gasped his final breaths

Who sent you?I demanded

He coughed, blood bubbling from his lips

  1. s. Go to hell”

You first.I put a bullet in his head

I surveyed the carnage with annoyance. All I’d wanted tonight was to enjoy my new sugar baby to taste Hannah’s sweetness, to feel those perfect tits in my hands, to hear her call me Daddy while I made her scream

Instead, I was standing in a room full of corpses

Motherfuckers,” I muttered. Can’t even let a man eat pussy in peace.”

I pulled out my phone and dialed. James? I need a cleanup in 3201. Three packages to dispose of. And find out who the fuck leaked my suite number.”
