Chapter 23 The Incredible Analyst
As they reached the door, Hubert paused. “Your birthday is coming up soon, isn’t it?”

Azalea hesitated, slightly taken aback. The concept of “birthday” felt almost alien to her. In the orphanage, no one really celebrated birthdays–just getting enough food was often enough of a celebration.
Only Mr. Quinn had ever acknowledged her birthday with wishes and a cake.
Later, back with the Larks, her birthday was overshadowed by Sydney’s, treated more like a procedural event than H celebration.
“It seems so,” she replied quietly.
“You’re about to turn 18, that’s a milestone. Is there something special you’d like for your birthday?”
She shook her head. “There’s nothing I want. Her current goals were focused solely on her studies and navigating the challenges posed by Sydney and the rest of the Larks.
JAnything more felt like a luxury she could not afford.
Hubert thought for a moment, then decided, “I’ll organize something memorable for your 18th–a proper coming–of–age celebration”
His smile was disarmingly charming.
Beauty tends to capture attention, and Azalea found herself momentarily lost in his smile.
She quickly looked away, her cheeks warming. “That’s not necessary, really. My birthday isn’t all that important.”
Hubert placed a finger on his lips, “If you don’t make it matter, nobody else will. Sometimes, declaring something’s importance out loud gives it significance.”
Could he be serious about this?
When Azalea realized she was actually looking forward to her 18th birthday, a faint thrill ran through her heart.
With a somewhat wistful smile, she said, “I’ll be waiting for your surprise then.”
Hubert responded with a warm smile, “Good night, Lea
The following day was routine for Azalea, attending school as usual.
In the morning, Wylie messaged her about joining him at the base after school for a photo shoot for the final tournament poster and to participate in a practice match that Anexis had organized.
It was common knowledge that such practice matches before a tournament were mainly for sizing up the competition.
During her classes, Azalea was as focused as ever, unlike her deskmate Irene, who spent the class sleeping.
Their interaction had stalled after her initial attempt at friendship early in the school year. Despite their daily encounters on their way to and from school, their potential friendship had not progressed,
After one warning, Irene mentioned her discomfort with Sydney, which Azalea did not fully understand.
In her previous life, she was too preoccupied with avoiding trouble at school to involve herself with others‘ grievances.
Her main concern now was Irene’s apparent disinterest in academics, especially troubling given that it was their senior year.
That afternoon, during a foreign language class, Azalea struggled to stay awake, battling with her ongoing difficulty grasping the subject.
Her attention snapped back when she noticed Irene secretly checking the upcoming match data between Anexis and GOD on his phone.

Trene was impressively multitasking, pretending to scribble notes with one hand while analyzing the match data with the other.
Azalea watched as Irene worked out potential final lineups and ban–picks on her draft paper. The accuracy of her predictions, aligning closely with the lineups from the final in her past life, was astonishing. It was as if she knew what was coming, but Azalea knew Irene had not been reborn like her.
This indicated that all her analysis was spot on.
Nt dawned on Azalea that she had such a valuable analyst right beside her all this time.
As soon as class ended, she quickly seized Irene’s wrist. The analysis you sketched during class, was it based on the public data from this autumn’s matches involving those two teams?”
Irene, caught off guard by her studious desk mate’s sudden interest in esports, felt a spark of camaraderie. Not entirely. L included recent performances by the Anexis team as well. However, since GOD is somewhat of a wildcard this less available data, the accuracy of my predictions isn’t perfect, and there’s still a lot of room for unpredictability.”

In the world of esports, aside from players‘ individual skills, strategic acumen from the coaching staff plays a critical role. In a recent match. Anexis clinched a victory against the seasoned LTC team in the Spring Finals, largely thanks to a strategic counter–play. They managed to outmaneuver LTC’s main marksman, leveraging a clever draft strategy that secured them the championship.
“Do you plan to pursue a career in esports?” Azalea inquired, seeing potential in Irene’s talents.
Knowing that her own time in competitive gaming was limited due to her academic commitments, Azalea was keen on recruiting such a promising analyst if Irene was considering a professional path in the field.
Irene nodded in response, “My grades have never been great, and honestly, I was fortunate to even get into Draywick. My family isn’t well–off, and I initially wanted to focus on my studies, but it seems like no matter how much effort I put in, the results are always the same.
