Lyra’s POV
“Alpha King, what brings you here today? Is there something important?
Lucian nodded. “I’m here to announce my engagement to my future Luna with her family.”
The entire hall fell into a stunned silence.
A young Alpha among the crowd suddenly let out a sharp cry.
“Alpha King! He’s the Alpha King!”
The Alpha King had always been a mysterious figure, rarely appearing in public. Hardly anyone had seen him before. However, he often preferred to keep a low profile, blending in with the crowd, so a few had encountered him without realizing his true identity.
Now that the truth was out, the expressions of everyone

I ignored them and simply leaned into Lucian’s chest, rubbing against him slightly as exhaustion and grievance crept into my voice while I explained what had just happened.
Lucian’s face darkened instantly. Without hesitation, he ordered the manager to check the surveillance footage.
Estelle’s face turned deathly pale. She quickly stopped the manager.

Lucian shot the manager a cold glance and commanded, “Proceed with the investigation. Then he said, “Luna Estelle, a five–million–dollar sapphire isn’t a minor matter especially since it was a royal reward. Even though I wasn’t present that day, I want the culprit found and held accountable by
Sweat dripped down Estelle’s forehead. Her lips parted as if to speak, but no words came out.
Meanwhile, Tristan’s expression was unreadable as he stared at Lucian’s hand around mine, lost in his thoughts
At that moment, my mother beamed and pushed her way through the crowd.
“Alpha King, you’re finally here! We’ve been waiting for you. We wanted you to be the one to announce this wonderful news!”
Lucian’s expression softened immediately as he greeted my mother politely.
Then, he took my hand and formally introduced himself.
“Alpha and Lunas from every pack, I am Lyra’s second måte. In seven days, we will be holding our mating ceremony. That’s why we gathered all the pack Alphas and Lunas here–to share the news.”
He glanced at Estelle and Tristan, who stood frozen in place.
“I hadn’t expected an incident like this to happen today.”
The Alphas who had been flattering Tristan moments ago let out a few awkward chuckles, then quickly changed their tune as if nothing had happened.

“Lyra is truly impressive–each of her mates is stronger than the last. An Alpha King far surpasses any regular pack Alpha. With a fiancé like him, why would she ever care to destroy a five–million–dollar sapphire?
The sycophants who had ignored me earlier now tripped over themselves to compliment us:1 simply responded with a polite, distant smile. Estelle tried to speak up again, insisting that there was no need to check the surveillance footage, but Lucian shut her down completely.
The staff worked quickly. Within ten minutes, the surveillance footage was displayed for all to see.
The footage revealed that after I had entered the private room, Estelle had gone alone to retrieve the sapphire. Hidden from sight in a secluded corner, she had deliberately smashed the gemstone against the ground
The atmosphere in the hall turned heavy.
Especially for Estelle’s parents.
They wanted to step forward and plead for her, but Luclan was faster.

Tristan, however, showed no concem for Estelle at all.
Instead, he rushed forward, spreading his arms to block my path.
