Chapter 1
Lyra’s POV
“Tristan, faster… yeah, deeper!”
I heard strange noises coming from my ro
my room.
Following the sound, I approached cautiously. Peering through the crack in the door, I saw my Alpha mate tangled with another woman.
I covered my mouth, stifling a gasp–because I I knew her all too well.
“My cousin hasn’t come back yet. Doing it in your room. Isn’t it exciting?”
“Focus,” Bruce murmured between kisses.
I watched as their movements became more intense, their breathing ragged. And in that moment, I finally understood why the two of them had been frequently absent from pack meetings–only to reappear together every time.
The next second, I pushed open the door.
“How could you?!”
The two on the bed flinched in shock, but Tristan quickly recovered, his expression unapologetic. Since you’ve found out, there’s no point hiding it Janymore. Let’s sever the mate bond.”
I accepted. Then, I disappeared
Six years later….
When I arrived at the Alpha Ball, many of the Alphas hadn’t shown up yet. I found a quiet corner, sat down, and opened my laptop to review a particularly challenging case.
A patient’s condition was deteriorating rapidly, and I needed to finalize the surgical plan.
I was deep in thought when Tristan and Estelle arrived.
The get the Alphas noticed them, they instantly surrounded the couple, showering them with praise.
“Alpha Tristan, I heard you were awarded an invaluable sapphire by the Royals. You’re such an outstanding young Alpha, bringing glory to the Crescent Pack!”
“Alpha Tristan, my child dreams of becoming a great Alpha warrior Hike you. He even calls your name in his sleep! Would you consider letting him join your Alpha training?”
Estelle batted her eyelashes and clung to Tristan’s arm, chucking softly. “No red for such formalities, Alpha Rig. If your child has any questions, just call Tristan directly!”
Ar her words, other Alphas started pouring out flattery like beans from a sack.
Tristan raised his head slightly, putting on an arrogant demeanor as he enjoyed this moment of being the center of attention.
When I finished my work, I took off my headphones and yawned.
The sound immediately drew everyone’s attention.
“Lyra? Why is shehere? Doesn’t she hate gatherings like this?” som
someone muttered, carching Tristan’s notice.
Tristan, ever the self–important Alpha, narrowed his eyes at the speaker.
“Lyra hasn’t attended an Alpha Ball in years?”
The Alpha nodded repeatedly.
Tristan let out a mocking laugh.
x years ago, after Tristan and I were reborn, we reached the day of our mating ceremony. In front of the witnesses of the pack, he was about to make me hs Luna.
Under the watchful Leyes of the pack members and our parents, he rushed to Estelle, embraced her, and confessed his love, Estelle burst into tears, crying as if she had survived a catastrophe
Then Tristan rejected me, claiming his true love was Estelle.

Dreame–Read Romance Stories
He divorced his infertile wife. Five months late
The shocking turn of events left the entire pack speechless. Many of the guests present today had witnessed that moment firsthand.
“Lyra is just an Omega without an Alpha mate. She doesn’t belong at an Alpha Ball”
“Who knows why she’s here? Maybe she’s doing it on purpose to get Tristan’s attention. After all, getting rejected like that was humiliating.”
“Alpha Tristan is the most outstanding Alpha warrior now, and Luna Estelle is his perfect match. They’re the golden couple. Does Eyra think she can rekindle their past? She must be insane.”
Tristan’s face showed disdain as he pulled Estelle closer. “That’s all in the past. Estelle is the one I truly love.”
The crowd immediately fell silent. There was no point in bringing up old stories when Tristan and Estelle were so deeply in love.
I merely glanced at them indifferently before turning away to order a drink from a waiter.
Sipping my orange juice, I hoped my parents would arrive soon to make their announcement so I could return to my hospital shift.
But Estelle wouldn’t let me stay undisturbed.
She swayed gracefully toward me, lifting a loose strand of my hair between her fingers.
“Lyra, you should take better care of yourself. Look how rough your hair has gotten from all those late nights, dry as
All eyes fell on me once again
Several Alphes from other packs joined in to reprimand me.
“How dare a mere Omega healer like Lyra attend an Alpha Bell? No mate, no worth, such trash doesn’t belong here!”
straw.”
“After being rejected and exiled from the pack, she should’ve known her place and lived quietly. How dare she show her face here with such shameless audacity?”
Meeting Estelle’s smug gaze, I finally took a good look at her and Tristan.
Estelle’s blonde hair was elegantly pinned up, and she wore a classic cashmere coat from a luxury brand, paired with high–end custom jewelry, exuding an air of aristocratic elegance.
Beside her, Tristan wore a matching designer suit, sporting only a wedding ring.
No wonder everyone called them a perfect couple. Looking at them now, they truly seemed well–matched.
Rubbing my throbbing temples, I distanced myself from Estelle
“Are you done, Estelle? If so, keep your distance. Your cheap perfume is giving me a headache.”
Estelle’s face fell, but before she could respond, Tristan immediately jumped to her defense:
“Lyra, Estelle was just trying to be nice. Is this any way to behave?”
1 frowned, irritation bubbling inside me, but forced it down for today’s event.
“I’m not behaving any way! I’ve had a long day at work, and I’m too tired for meaningless small talk”
“Can you leave me alone?”
Tristan’s face darkened at my words.
After all, he was used to being admired, convinced that he had long surpassed me in every way.
In his mind, I should be consumed by envy of everything he had, not acting so indifferent.
Estelle, sensitive to Tristan’s mood, quickly intervened with a gentle voice. “Tristan, it’s the Alpha Ball. Let’s not waste our time with her.
“After all, you rejected her back then. It’s understandable if she’s still holding a grudge. We should be more understanding ”
Tristan’s expression saltened. He stroked Estelle’s hair affectionately. “You’re always so land and considerate”
Then he turned back to me, his gaze filled with contempt.
“Lyra, after all these years, you’re still as stubborn and insufferable as ever.”
“If only you’d been more gentle back then, perhaps things wouldn’t have ended so badly between us.
