Chapter 4
The car slowly drove towards the villa, and I maintained my posture, lying on Samuel’s shoulder.
The backseat partition rose up.
His hand slowly moved up and the icy touch made me hold my breath involuntarily.
His hair was tangled on his face, and his eyes darkened.
The slender neck was exposed.
The fragile skin was crushed bit by bit.
My body trembled uncontrollably.
The distance from the clubhouse to Samuel’s villa was not close.
Samuel knocked on the front panel, and the driver, understanding his intention, stopped the car by the roadside and left.
The temperature inside the car rose gradually as the air conditioning temperature increased.
I bit my lip, trying hard to restrain myself from making any sound.
“Where did you go last night?”
“Why don’t you speak? Is something wrong?”
I opened my mouth, wanting to say something, but the next second I was fiercely knocked down.
It turned into a sob.
After an unknown period of time, Samuel finally stopped.
The handsome face was filled with satisfaction under the illumination of the dim car interior lights,
He held me and gently wiped me little by little.
I picked up the phone that was thrown aside, took a glance, and found that there were two text messages on the phone.
It was sent by Nathan
The first one is a video.
The scene showed Nathan drinking with the crowd in the private room.
Nathan flicked a cigarette between his fingertips, leaning back in the chair with a nonchalant expression, and said to the others,
“The biggest stain in my life was being liked by my own foster sister.”
“I wouldn’t mind if Claire came back, as long as she could put away any inappropriate thoughts she might have had.”
If I had seen it three years ago, it would have been so heartbreaking that I couldn’t breathe. But now…
I glanced at the second message.
“I heard that you had the Hayes family’s heirloom bracelet. When you have time, remember to return it. Don’t keep something that doesn’t belong to you, it should be returned to its rightful owner.”
This was not Nathan’s tone.
It was obvious who sent these two text messages.
