Kendrick’s mind suddenly flashed with the woman’s determined face as she left.

In an instant, he suddenly understood the strange feeling that had been bothering him. Immediately after, an overwhelming wave of panic surged from all directions, sweeping over him completely.
He grabbed the prison guard’s hand, his face frantic. “Please, contact my lawyer right now!”
After Kendrick’s approval, within a few hours, his team had everything arranged.
The moment Kendrick stepped out of the prison, he was consumed with fear and anxiety. As soon as he saw Tim, he rushed toward him, grabbing him urgently. “Where is Raelynn?! Where is she?!”
Tim, shaken nearly to the point of dizziness, stammered. “Mr. Reece, Ms. Elway and the kids are flying back to Astua this afternoon.”
He glanced at his watch deliberately and said, “They’re boarding in 15 minutes.
“D*mn!”

Kendrick cursed. Only 15 minutes left, but no matter what, he had to try and make it to the airport.

Without another word, he jumped into the Bentley that Tim had brought to pick him up, slammed the gas pedal, and sped toward the airport.
At the airport, near the security checkpoint.
Kendrick ran, breathless, as he sprinted toward the security checkpoint. The woman was walking through with her two children, holding their hands.
“Raelynn!”
Panic flashed in Kendrick’s eyes as he shouted her name, but she gave no reaction.
He cursed again, no longer caring about anything else, and he was about to force his way through.
“Sir, you can’t do that! Please leave immediately, or we will have to call for security!”
The staff intercepted him as he struggled. As he watched the woman’s figure grow distant, ready to vanish from his sight, Kendrick’s mind raced. Just as the situation was about to escalate-
Suddenly, someone tapped him on the left shoulder.
He turned around, but no one was there.
Then someone gently tapped his right shoulder.
Impatient, Kendrick turned again, and all his struggle came to a halt.
Raelynn stood before him, her sparkling eyes like a sky full of stars. She smiled warmly and said, “Mr. Reece, congratulations. You’ve finally been freed.”
Kendrick stood frozen, staring at her. He looked down and saw Lola and Orion standing on either side of her, both smiling at him
It clicked in that moment–he scratched his head awkwardly, realizing what had happened. He quickly apologized to the staff.
Behind him, Raelynn was on the phone. As Kendrick turned, he heard her calling out to Tim, thanking him over and over.

Raelynn hung up the phone. She saw Kendrick drenched in sweat and reached up to wipe his forehead
“If I don’t do this, people will say I’m living the life of a widow.”
How many precious moments had he lost sitting in prison for five years?
Kendrick took a deep breath, a tear slipping down his cheek. He reached out with his long arm and pulled her tightly into his. embrace, never planning to let go.
“Raelynn, thank you for all your effort.”
Their love slowly settled. sinking deep into the time and leaving no trace.
