Watching her boss lose control, the assistant was shocked. She asked, “Linda?! What’s wrong? Did they send you a lawyer’s letter?”

Raelynn’s face drained of color at the sound of his words. Her gaze shifted instantly.
The assistant bit her lip and muttered to herself, “If he’s no longer the corporate representative, then the contracts that were used to sue Kendrick have no legal effect. He hasn’t had signing authority since a year ago.
“Why did he plead guilty in court? The ruling’s been made, and now trying to appeal to reverse it would be a huge hassle.”
She racked her brain, trying to make sense of it. Was there really someone who enjoyed going to prison this much?
Raelynn’s eyes turned red and began to water, her shoulders trembled uncontrollably.
