Kendrick furrowed his brows as he picked up the device, his eyes scanning through the pages rapidly.
Raelynn watched him, entranced by the focus on his face. His features were just as captivating as they had always been. Despite everything that had transpired between them, she still thought his face was the most handsome she had ever seen in her life.
But something had changed.
“Mr. Reece, if there’s anything troubling you, please feel free to give me some advice.”
Her voice was soft, almost lazy, and laced with a subtle charm. Her hand slowly traced up his arm, lightly brushing against him, just enough to tease, yet always out of reach.

She noticed the tightness in his muscles and smiled with satisfaction. With a slow, deliberate motion, she leaned in closer, her hair cascading down toward his ear, lightly brushing against it like a feather, igniting a deep stir in him.
“Mr. Reece, it must be the proposal that’s so captivating, to have you so absorbed.” she whispered, her lips brushing the sensitive lobe of his ear, her warm breath like a gentle breeze.
Kendrick felt a sharp thrill, as though an electric shock had jolted through him.
He inhaled a sharp breath, his body tensed, his manhood had hardened with desire.
This woman. She was deliberately playing with fire.
“Do you know, when you start a fire, you have to put it out?”
His voice was hoarse with barely–contained tension.
Raelynn let out a soft laugh from behind him, a sound that seemed to scratch at his very soul. The veins on his forehead visibly pulsed.
“Then, Mr. Reece, how would you like to put it out?” She asked, her voice a mix of teasing and challenge.
Before she finished speaking, Kendrick’s long arm reached around her waist, pulling her onto his lap with commanding strength.
His gaze dropped to her fair chest, his eyes darkening with desire. “That depends on how you plan to put it out,” he said, his voice heavy with meaning.
“I can handle it however you want, but the question is, how do you want to handle it?”
Raelynn bit her lip, her eyes full of allure as she batted her eyes at him.
