In that instant, Kendrick felt as though something sharp had pierced his heart.
Anger, coldness, and regret surged up from the deepest part of his chest, quickly engulfing his entire being.

Kendrick muttered, lost in thought. At that very moment, Alberto seized the opportunity and struck him with a punch! The force knocked Kendrick sideways.
“Kendrick, you sc*undrel! You deceive her feelings and cruelly send her to prison! If you’re so heartless, then why should you care about that child?!
“Isn’t this exactly what you’re best at dealing with?! What’s wrong? Are you suddenly feeling guilty?! You lost Raelynn, and you’ll never get her back!

The following was a chaotic, fiery clash. The two men were evenly matched, both throwing punches without mercy.

Kendrick opened the drawer and threw a document onto the desk, speaking each word with cold determination. “Based on the information in this document, immediately start investigating all the girls named Lola Elway with leukemia. The sooner, the better.”

He sat with his head down and dared not make a sound.
When the nearly broken man finally finished venting, Tim, with great difficulty, spoke up. “Mr. Reece, we’ve pulled all the strings over the month. All information regarding Ms. Elway’s childbirth in prison has been erased by Mr. Alberto. Your information led us to check all Lola girls with leukemia, but none were matches.
