Chapter 20 Renovate Lewis‘ Grave
Over the next two weeks, Kendrick, once a powerful figure with remarkable skills, appeared to have returned to form.
He guided the company to multiple successes, watching the stock price gradually recover after a significant drop, and everything seemed to be returning to normal.
However, he appeared even more distant than before, like an impenetrable iceberg, radiating an unapproachable vibe, and his smile had become an even rarer sight.
“Have someone tidy up Lewis‘ grave and renovate it properly.”
When Tim heard these words, he froze in disbelief and asked, “Mr. Reece, did you just say. to renovate whose grave?”

Kendrick, still focused on his typing, paused and glanced at him, his lips barely moving. “I said, clean up Raelynn’s father’s grave.”
Tim, unable to believe what he was hearing, stood motionless.
Could Mr. Reece have lost his mind? He’s always despised the person who killed his mother, and now he plans to spend money on renovating his enemy’s grave?
Could it be that a woman has somehow influenced his judgment?
“Also, I need a favor from you in the coming days.”
Tim quickly snapped back to reality, nodding, “Of course, Mr. Reece, just say the word.”
And once again, Kendrick made his heart race.
“Do everything you can to track down Raelynn’s friends from prison during those two years. I need to meet them.”
“What? Who are you asking about? Raelynn Elway?”
Kendrick gazed at the young woman in front of him and gave a calm nod.
She eyed him suspiciously, her brows furrowed. “Who are you to Raelynn?”
Hearing her voice, Kendrick hesitated, a lump of uncertainty forming in his throat, making it hard to speak.
The woman’s eyes widened in realization. “I get it! You’re the cold–hearted man who abandoned Raelynn, aren’t you?!”
“Tsk tsk! How disgusting! None of you men are decent! You don’t even care about your own daughter. How can you even call yourself a man?”
Kendrick remained silent.
“During the first two years in prison, Raelynn was bullied. At the start, newcomers always had to take on the worst tasks- cleaning toilets and doing all the dirty, exhausting work.
“The leader of the group was envious of Raelynn’s beauty and tormented her time after time. There was one incident where she nearly disfigured her!”
Upon hearing this, Kendrick’s body shook involuntarily.
The woman patted her chest, reflecting on the tough years in prison, and said with emotion, “Thankfully, Raelynn knew how to defend herself. She pinned that bully down and slapped her with her shoes, making her submit and never bother Raelynn again!”
At this, Kendrick let out a relieved breath.
The woman sighed, her face filled with sorrow. She glared at Kendrick with hatred and, through gritted teeth, cursed, “You

With that, she reached out and, without a second thought, poured the tea all over Kendrick before storming off in fury.
Kendrick sat in stunned silence, his entire body frozen as though his blood had turned to ice.
The woman’s words echoed in his mind as she walked away.
Child, leukemia!
Raelynn and Alberto’s child actually has leukemia?
He fought to keep his composure. During the two weeks he spent in Vlebus, Alberto indeed went to be with the child every day.
However, not once did he take the child to the hospital for treatment!
