In the evening, in a private room of the club.
The air was thick with the pungent scent of liquor, filling the expansive space. The bright, dazzling lights illuminated the area, casting a seductive glow over the people present.
A young girl, no older than 17 or 18, dressed in a bunny costume, stood with an innocent expression, yet her figure was curvaceous. Holding a microphone, she passionately performed the song “Tickle“, pouring her emotions into it.
With the mic in hand, she kept her gaze fixed on a specific spot, effortlessly showcasing her allure.
On the nearby couch, a wealthy man sipped his drinks, seemingly indifferent to her performance. He didn’t even glance in her direction.
Before him, an array of liquor bottles lay scattered. Yet, he remained completely composed, showing no signs of drunkenness.
Kendrick’s subordinate watched in disbelief at his boss‘ emotionless demeanor, losing interest in the women around him.
He gently loosened his tie with a small flick of his hand. Though it was a minor movement, it somehow exuded an irresistible allure when he did it.
The bunny girl was entranced, momentarily forgetting her song.
She casually reached for a glass of wine from the table, sat down on the floor with ease, and softly bit her lip as she spoke, “Mr. Reece, I offer this toast to you.”
Kendrick shot her a cold, dismissive glance and replied sharply, “Get out.”
The bunny girl flinched slightly but didn’t back down. She softened her tone, “Don’t be like that. Drinking alone isn’t fun. Let me keep you company, wouldn’t that be nicer?”
“Mr. Reece, please let me stay with you …
”
The bunny girl insisted, her soft, graceful hand slowly trailing up his arm, teasing him. “Mr. Reece, I can do more than just drink. I know a special kind of dance, one we could do in bed. I’m really good at it! Would you like to try?”
Kendrick’s gaze turned ice–cold, his eyes narrowing as he glared at her sideways, the hostility evident in his stare, causing her to hesitate.
“I told you to leave, didn’t I? Do you not get it? Get out of here now! Or I’ll have them keep you occupied all night long!”
The harsh words made the bunny girl freeze, her eyes welling up with tears. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with an eerie, demonic fury.
Without another word, she fled, crying.
“D*mn it!”
Kendrick was still restless, throwing the glass he held onto the floor with a loud crash.
Since yesterday, he couldn’t stop thinking about Raelynn. She appeared in his dreams, and when he woke up, the first thing he saw was her face. No matter what he did, he couldn’t escape the constant image of her.
This overwhelming and dangerous emotion left him feeling helpless for the first time in his life.
Now, the situation was even worse because, even while at the bar, his desire for Raelynn remained uncontainable.
He refused to let that woman interfere with his life again!

As Tim entered with the documents, Kendrick was reclining in his chair, eyes shut, taking a break.
The moment he heard the door open, his eyes snapped open.

“Mr. Reece, here are the hospital records we’ve gathered over the past two days regarding Ms. Snow’s surgery. Tim said, handing over the papers.
Kendrick quickly flipped through the records, carefully examining the detailed medical history, which included Thea’s background and family history, all thoroughly researched.
He then studied the signed consent form for the kidney transplant, confirming that the signature was indeed Thea’s.
The recipient section also listed his name, Kendrick Reece.
It was as though a heavy weight had settled in his chest, and the man’s brow furrowed deeper.
