Chapter 4
Alisha didn’t pay much attention to what Trevor said that day.
She simply waited silently for the immigration procedures to be completed as soon as possible, and
then she would leave.
Hannah, however, refused to let her go.
That day, Hannah enthusiastically insisted on going shopping with Alisha. However, shortly after getting in the car, Alisha became dizzy.
When she opened her eyes again, Alisha found herself tied to a cliff by the seaside.
On the other side, Hannah was also tied up in the same position.
She struggled desperately to ask Hannah why, but all the words that came out were muffled sobs, as
her mouth was taped shut.
Hannah seemed to understand her question and coldly smiled, “Alisha, I didn’t want to kidnap you
either.”
“But Trevor’s words that day always unsettled me, and I just wanted to prove who was more important to him.”
Upon hearing these words, Alisha felt a wave of sadness welling up inside her.
What else is there to prove? Isn’t the answer obvious?
Soon, Trevor, who had received the message from the kidnappers, hurriedly arrived carrying two
boxes of cash.
He threw the box forward and said sternly, “I have brought the money, release them!”
The kidnappers, who could have received Hannah’s orders a long time ago, remained indifferent and leisurely said, “Mr. Pownall, I didn’t kidnap them for money.”
Trevor’s expression changed slightly, and his tone suddenly turned cold, “What do you mean?”
The bandits placed their hands on Alisha and Hannah’s shoulders, grinning menacingly.
“I heard that these two women, one is your childhood friend’s daughter, and the other is your fiancée. You can only save one, and the other one will be thrown into the sea to feed the sharks. It’s
up to you to choose!”
After speaking, the rope in the hands of the kidnapper loosened slightly, and Alisha and Hannah,
who were tied to the cliff, were about to fall into the sea.
Hannah’s face turned pale with fear, and her voice trembled uncontrollably, “Trevor, save me, I

Trevor’s heart was instantly lifted, “Don’t move, Hannah!”
The answer has already appeared.
The kidnappers finally smiled with satisfaction, and even Hannah, who had intentionally pretended to be frightened, breathed a sigh of relief.
She pretended to look at Trevor with a touch of emotion, but Trevor instinctively glanced towards
Alisha on the other side.
Trevor thought that Alisha would break down and despair, but there was only calmness on her face.
For some reason, Trevor felt inexplicably anxious as he looked at her calm appearance.
Before he could even speak, the untied Hannah moved towards him with gratitude.
He instinctively held his beloved tightly, “Hannah…”
In the next instant, Trevor’s pupils contracted as Alisha’s rope was simultaneously cut, and she plummeted straight towards the seabed!
“Thump!”
The sea water engulfed Alisha completely, and countless forces relentlessly dragged her into the
abyss.
Alisha wanted to desperately swim upstream, but a wave of exhaustion slowly enveloped her.
Finally, her eyelids grew heavier and heavier, and she completely lost consciousness…
When Alisha woke up in the hospital again, she saw Trevor sitting by her bedside.
Trevor’s crimson eyes and stubble–covered chin indicated that he had been guarding her for many
days.
But now, she no longer needed his protection.
The two of them stared at each other for a long time, but they remained silent.
Finally, Alisha spoke up, “Uncle Pownall, you don’t have to stay with me. Go and check on Hannah, she needs your care more.”
Perhaps feeling that her words were inappropriate, she added, “I can take care of myself.”
Trevor hesitated for a moment, looking at Alisha with a complex expression for a while before finally getting up and leaving.
The day Alisha was discharged from the hospital happened to be Hannah’s birthday.

Because it was their first birthday party together, Trevor held it with extra grandeur.
Thousands of roses, which had been air–freighted from overseas, bloomed throughout the banquet, while numerous expensive gifts were carelessly piled up in the corners.
The loving photos of the couple were displayed from the entrance to the inside of the venue.
As fireworks burst in the sky, the banquet finally reached its climax. Trevor held Hannah’s waist tightly and danced gracefully with her on the dance floor to the elegant music.
And on the big screen behind, the sweet videos of Trevor and Hannah spending time together were playing on loop.
Just as the guests were being moved by the love between the two, the big screen suddenly went black.
Then, one by one, childish love letters and portraits suddenly appeared on the screen.
Alisha’s deep love for Trevor was thus presented in front of everyone!
The whole audience was in an uproar!
Alisha looked at the big screen, her face pale!
She had clearly torn all of these, why would they still appear here?
She wanted to rush up and turn off the screen, but she couldn’t move and could only let the voices of discussion push her into the abyss!
Mr. Pownall was about to get married, but Alisha still wouldn’t give up. She is shameless!
“This was Ms. Geary’s birthday banquet, wasn’t it? Wasn’t this a public provocation?”
“Ms. Geary was really pitiful, even though she got married, there were always people coveting her
husband…”
The debate caught Hannah and Trevor’s attention, and they turned to look at the big screen.
Hannah’s face turned pale all of a sudden, and she trembled as she looked towards Alisha.
Finally, with red eyes, she ran out while holding her skirt.
“Hannah!”
Trevor’s heart tightened, and he quickly wanted to chase after her. However, upon seeing Alisha still frozen in place, he abruptly stopped in his tracks and raised his hand to deliver a slap!
“Snap!”
The surroundings instantly became silent.
