She couldn’t resist him, and time couldn’t be delayed, so she had no choice but to get in his car.
He could have walked halfway, but he suddenly took a detour, saying that he had to pick someone
- up.
When Ivy saw Yvette’s figure appear, her heart trembled.
She really wanted to ask Rod why it was necessary to bring along someone completely unrelated when they went to move her father’s ashes. Couldn’t the two of them be separated like that?
Time was pressing, so she swallowed everything.
On the way to the new cemetery, Ivy walked ahead alone, holding the urn in her arms, without saying a word.
After everything was tidied up and they were about to bury him, Rod’s phone rang.
He glanced at the number, furrowed his brow, and stood up to walk out.
Ivy didn’t ask him where he was going, she just focused on planning to put the urn in. However,
Yvette blocked her way with a mocking expression on her face.
“Rod agreed to accompany me to watch the sunset today. Bringing you to the cemetery was just on
the way, but you probably didn’t know, right?”
Ivy really didn’t know.
But she didn’t care either, she just wanted her father to be buried as soon as possible.
So she completely ignored Yvette’s provocation, not even giving her a glance, and proceeded to
bury the ashes while holding the urn.
Yvette had never been ignored like this before, so she became angry and immediately reached out to grab her, saying, “Ivy, what are you pretending for? Can’t you hear me when I’m talking to you?”
Seeing how she cherished the urn in her hands, Yvette’s heart skipped a beat. She suddenly reached
out and snatched the box, then fiercely smashed it onto the ground!
With a loud bang, the box rolled down the stairs and shattered into pieces.
The gray ashes scattered all over the ground.
Ivy’s rationality completely collapsed at this moment.
“Dad!”

She ran down as if she had gone mad, crying and kneeling on the ground, trying to catch that speck
of dust.
But a sudden gust of wind came out of nowhere and extinguished her last glimmer of hope.
She could only watch helplessly as the ashes were blown away by the wind, desperately trying to
hold on to them, but unable to.
That was her father, who had transformed from a living person into a handful of ashes. But now,
she couldn’t even hold onto this tiny bit!
She was furious and couldn’t hold back any longer. She forced herself to stand up and walked over
to Yvette, raising her hand and giving her a hard slap.
“Yvette! This was my father’s ashes, the last thing he left me in this world. Do you know that destroying someone’s remains will condemn them to eighteen levels of hell?”
With a loud smack, that fair face instantly swelled up.
Yvette was taken aback by the blow, and was about to retaliate in anger when she caught a glimpse
of Rod returning just in time.
Her lost sanity instantly returned, and she took advantage of the situation by falling backwar rolling down the stairs.
nd
Rod, who was unaware of the cause and effect, saw this scene and quickly ran over to pick up Yvette.
“Ivy, what are you doing?!”
“What did I do? You should ask her what she did!”
This was the first time Rod saw Ivy in such a desperate state. He lifted his gaze and saw her
tear–streaked face, anger freezing on his face.
The next second, Yvette threw herself into his arms, crying uncontrollably.
“Rod, I accidentally knocked over Ivy’s father’s urn just now. With a gust of wind, everything was gone. Ivy got angry and pushed me down the stairs. I bled so much, I guess that’s some kind of
retribution…”
Looking at the broken box beside him, Rod felt a tightness in his heart.
He wanted to say some comforting words, but as the words reached his lips, they turned into something else, “Yvette didn’t mean to…”
“Get lost!”
Ivy only said this one word, but she exerted all her strength.

Rod still had to explain, but Yvette clung to his sleeve, crying, “Rod, I’m in so much pain. Did I break my leg?”
Upon hearing this, Rod glanced at her and ultimately chose to pick up Yvette and leave quickly!
