Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Alisha frowned, “I didn’t.”
Trevor took a few steps forward, carefully observing her evasive expression. “You say there’s nothing going on? You leave early and come back late every day, without even saying hello to me. Isn’t that just avoiding me?”
“Why? Just because Hannah and I were together?”
Alisha shook her head quickly and said, “No! Uncle Pownall, you can be with the person you like. As your junior, I am genuinely happy for you and sincerely wish that you and your loved one will be together forever. Don’t worry, I have realized that you won’t have feelings for me, so I won’t like
you anymore.”
Alisha calmly stated the established facts, but Trevor’s face darkened, feeling that these words
were inexplicably harsh.
Alisha didn’t like him, which was probably the most absurd thing he had ever heard.
“You confessed your feelings to me and I rejected you. You kept pestering me all day ar rejecting you. So now you’re trying a different approach to get my attention?”
Trevor observed Alisha’s facial expression as he spoke, and upon seeing her visibly startled look,
he became even more certain of the truth.
He approached her step by step, and even after seeing the box in Alisha’s arms, his tone became increasingly cold.
“You don’t like me anymore, yet you wrote so many love letters to me, and secretly drew so many
pictures of me. You’ve been pestering me for so many years, and now you suddenly say you don’t
like me anymore?”
“Alisha, don’t you find these words you said laughable?”
Alisha silently watched Trevor.
How could she not know that these words were ridiculous? After all, when lies are told too often, no
one will believe them.
But these ridiculous words were indeed true.
“Uncle Pownall, I had liked you for a long time, but you would never have liked me, so I really gave
up.”
After speaking, Alisha emptied everything from the box in front of Trevor.
Then, all the love letters and sketches were torn into pieces, one by one.

Amidst the flying debris, she saw Trevor’s expression not only devoid of joy, but also growing
increasingly gloomy.
Just as Alisha was starting to doubt if she had seen it correctly, Trevor’s cold tone suddenly fell
upon her ears.
“Act, keep acting, Alisha, remember, no matter what tricks you play, the person I like is only
Hannah!”
After that day, Alisha and Trevor never spoke again.
Alisha had nothing to say, and Trevor felt that she was playing hard to get and didn’t want to pay
attention.
The tense atmosphere persisted until the Pownall family’s dinner party.
In the past, this kind of family banquet, Alisha, who was always favored by Trevor’s parents, was
always the highlight of the banquet.
The Pownall family always surrounded her with care and concern, and it was always Trevor who
came forward to rescue her.
Now, the focus of the Pownall family has shifted entirely onto Hannah.
After all, she was the future hostess of the Pownall family, while Alisha was just an outsider.
Who is light and who is heavy, they know.
In just one morning, Alisha witnessed the Pownall family’s attention towards Hannah.
The Pownall family’s heirloom ring was directly placed on Erica Pownall’s hand by Trevor’s
mother, Hannah, when she entered.
And this ring, in the previous life, Alisha had never even seen it.
The banquet began, and members of the Pownall family started discussing Trevor and Hannah’s
wedding date directly at the dinner table.
Finally, this family banquet ended with the finalization of the wedding date.
When Alisha was about to go back with Trevor, Erica suddenly called her and said she had
something private to talk to her about.
As soon as she entered the study, Erica got straight to the point and said, “Alisha, you left Trevor.”
“You also knew that Trevor and Hannah were already together. What else could you do by staying here, except cause trouble for him and bring shame upon yourself?”
Erica did not hide her dislike for Alisha, which made Alisha feel a hint of bitterness in her heart.

Once upon a time, Erica used to really like him, but this liking came to an end on the day she confessed her feelings to Trevor.
Everyone said she was absurd, and they all criticized her for being immoral…
Alisha pinched her palm and said, “Don’t worry, I will leave.”
After speaking, she took out the immigration documents from her bag and handed them to Erica,
A few days ago, I just called my father and told him that I would go abroad to live with him. My father said he had found a fiancé for me, and in the future, I would stay far away from Uncle Pownall and never bother him again.
Erica checked Alisha’s immigration documents repeatedly before finally relaxing her expression.
“You had better walk the talk.”
Alisha didn’t relax until Erica left, and then she put the documents back in her bag and was about to leave.
But as soon as she got up, she met Trevor’s gaze standing at the door.
“Who do you want to stay far away from?”
Alisha’s mind went blank in an instant. She didn’t know how much Trevor had heard, but subconsciously, she didn’t want him to know about her plans to go abroad.
So she shook her head and said, “There is no one, you heard wrong.”
After she finished speaking, she stopped looking at him and turned to leave, but Trevor suddenly spoke.
“I knew you didn’t want to go abroad. In the future, when I marry Hannah, you don’t have to move out. Frankie and I are good friends, and I can support you for a lifetime.”
As soon as these words were spoken, Alisha instantly widened her eyes, and even Hannah, who had come out to find Trevor, froze in place.
It was not until Hannah’s resentful gaze fell on Alisha that she finally realized and hurriedly left.
