Gray eyes, jawline just like mine, long black hair in a ponytail, as tall as dad. It looked like him, but it couldn’t be.
“Hello… brother,” he mouthed with a devilish smile on his face.

All the noise faded away. I was no longer on the steps of the church. A thousand memories attacked me all at once. And I found myself transported back to my childhood home. Fen growled, not just at the memory, but at the sight of the perpetrator in front of me. How dare he show his face? And today of all days? I was tempted to teach him a lesson here and now.
I released Jane’s hand completely, fingers curling into fists so tight that my knuckles went white. I wanted to bury my fists in his face. Break both of his knees so he would never be able to climb into bed with another woman again.
Sebastian’s smirk widened, and I caught the scent of his satisfaction. He was deliberately pushing my buttons, and he knew my wolf was reacting to the sight of him here.
My body trembled with anger. The last time I felt this level of rage was when I left him unconscious on the floor of his penthouse apartment, blood pooling beneath his split lip and broken nose. Fen had been so close to ripping him apart that night. I leaned down, and whispered into his ear, “If I ever see you again, I’ll kill you.”
Yet here he was, standing in front of me with that same insufferable smirk, as if my threat had been nothing more than empty words. As if he was preparing to ruin my second marriage just like he’d obliterated the first.
No. I wouldn’t allow that to happen. Not again. And definitely not to Jane. I’d be damned before I let him near her.

I started to move before thinking. My eyes were laser focused on him, so much so that I hadn’t noticed that Jane had been trying to get my attention for the past few minutes.
Her hand closed around my arm, halting my movements. “Aaron, what‘ s wrong?”
I didn’t turn around. I didn’t want to risk taking my eyes off Sebastian even for a second. “I’ll be right back.” Jane tried to cling to me, but when she realized I was on a mission, she finally let go.
I made my way down the steps through the sea of people, eyes still fixed on the smirking asshole. “Get the hell out of here,” I growled when I reached Sebastian. “You’re not wanted here.”
“Really? How are you so sure?”
“Because it’s the truth,” I heard my father’s voice come from behind me. When I glanced at him, I saw pure hatred in his eyes, the same disgust that had been there when Sebastian first came to live with us.
