Chapter 107
Grant returned with a tray filled with strawberries. “Let me help you with that.” He grabbed the pitcher filled with the delicious mocktail and some glasses.
“Just leave them right there,” I said when he pushed my bedroom door open. I pointed at the small coffee table by the window.
Grant deposited everything on the table, nodded at me and left. I got to work immediately.
I arranged the strawberries nicely, grabbed Aaron’s favorite scented candles and lit them around the room. After that, I took a long shower. I took my time getting ready for him. I picked out my sexiest lingerie, made sure my hair was silky enough that it fell easily down my back.
Then I waited. And waited. And waited. But Aaron was nowhere in sight. I kept checking the time every ten minutes until the clock struck 9pm. What’s going on? He said he’d be here by 8pm. Aaron wouldn’t stand me up, right?
I picked up my phone and dialed. Straight to voicemail. Okay, don’t panic. I told myself. I can just try again. But when I dialed again after five minutes, the same thing happened. No matter how many times I pressed the dial, I got the same result.
My heart fell. This was a new level of hurt and disappointment. Slowly, I began to lose interest in everything I’d planned for tonight.
I abandoned everything and moved to the balcony. I found myself looking down, waiting to see if he would materialize. But there was

still no sign of him. I sighed. Well, so much for having a beautiful night.
He’s going to come, Lucky said.

I don’t think so, I… I stopped speaking so I could fight with the tight feeling in my chest. My eyes were heating up, and even though I tried to stop it, the tears spilled down anyway. Damn it.
“Jane…”
My breath caught in my throat as I turned around. Standing in the center of my room, looking like a complete mess was Aaron B Lorenz.
I looked him over. There was a dark shadow in his eyes, as if he’d been through hell and back. His hair was disheveled, a tell tale sign that he’d run his hands through the strands one too many times. And his clothes… well they definitely didn’t look great.
I said nothing. I didn’t move. Aaron however reached me in two strides and pulled me into his arms. God, I wanted to be angry at him. I wanted to pound my fists against his chest and demand an explanation for this evening.
But when he looked as attractive as he did now, when he smelled so delicious and so familiar, when he dipped my head back and crashed his lips against mine in a fiery kiss, all my defenses were gone.
There was pure hunger in the way he gripped my thighs, in the way he pushed my legs aside and slipped his fingers inside me.
No words were spoken. All I heard was a loud rip and then I felt the cold night air against my skin. Aaron wrapped a hand around my neck and bent me over the railing.

I was so wet that when he slipped into me, my pussy made a sound of acceptance. He drove into me viciously, grabbing my nipples, my waist, my hair.
It was frantic and frenzied. And after two minutes of relentless
thrusting, we both moaned into the night air, coming at the very same
time.
I took a moment to steady my breathing before I straightened and turned to face him. I expected to see passion and satisfaction in his eyes. But I was taken aback by the haunting look I saw
“Are you okay? Did something happen?”
He didn’t respond. His blue eyes were looking right at me, but I didn’t think he saw me. “Aaron? What’s going on? What happened?”
He blinked, eyes finally coming into focus. “I…‘

Aaron sighed. He ran a hand through his already ruined hair and then said, “There was an accident.”
*Jane*
I didn’t want to ask. I was scared to know. But I gathered the courage and stammered a quick, “W–who?”
Aaron sighed again. “It was Yve. ” I doubled over, I didn’t think I heard him right. “She’s in the hospital.”
The short feeling of relief was quickly replaced with anxiety. Even Lucky felt it too.

“What happened?”
“She… she fell down the stairs.”
I tilted my head in confusion. “What stairs, Aaron?”
