Chapter 29 Returning Home
Once back in the car, Noelle took the wet wipe Ryleigh handed over and methodically cleaned her fingers.
“My clothes are all dirty.”
Though she was complaining, it was evident that Noelle was seemingly in good spirits.
Ryleigh’s amusement deepened. As it turned out, she was quite the little deviant too.
“I’ll have someone bring something over for you. How do you wish to deal with them, Ms. Yersley?”
“Dispose of them, of course. You’re more familiar with this than I am, aren’t you?” Noelle replied absentmindedly.

She cast a casual glance at Lilah, who was already sitting on the floor, shaking like a leaf. It seemed she had the audacity to do such a thing, but now she was scared. It looked like the tactic of making an example of someone had worked quite well.
Upon hearing the reply, Ryleigh was not surprised. From the moment Noelle stepped out of the car, he knew these people wouldn’t live to see the end of the day.
Lilah was terrified by the sight of Noelle at that moment, even more so than when she had witnessed Noelle’s cruel actions earlier.
A chill ran unbidden through her heart. They were discussing the disposal of the trio right in front of her, which meant she was likely to be killed too.
At that moment, upon catching Noelle’s sweeping gaze, she was so terrified that she actually fainted.
Noelle was speechless. How dare she play at being a spy with such a measly amount of courage?
The three Upresians were brought back to the scene of the car accident and were dumped into the car they were in previously.

Noelle took Ryleigh’s gun and fired two shots at the fuel tank. The car instantly burst into flames. She stood watching until the car was reduced to ashes before she left.
“Ms. Yersley, it’s truly heartbreaking. Don’t you trust me?”
He had ordered his subordinates to break the necks of those few individuals before tossing them into the vehicle. Yet, Noelle insisted on personally watching them burn to ashes before she could be at ease.
“The lady mentioned that they were staying at a residence provided by the Wheelock family.”
In other words, she was asking how he could be trusted when his own people were involved in this.
Ryleigh’s expression faltered for a moment.
“I’ll take care of this matter. Does Matthew know about this ruthless side of you, Ms. Yersley?”
“You’re the one who killed them.”
With her head propped up, Noelle casually deflected blame, unconcerned about whether Matthew would find out. She wondered with much intrigue if he would have any regrets if he did.
“Don’t worry, this is all trivial to him. Matthew is a lot braver than you think.”
Ryleigh gazed at Noelle with profound meaning.
Speaking of the devil, a video call from Matthew came through at that moment.
It had been a night of turmoil, and even though dawn had yet to break here, it was already morning back home.
Matthew would call Noelle every day, morning and night.
Ryleigh playfully looked at Noelle, clearly wondering if she would accept the call.

Unfazed, Noelle answered the video call.
“Elle.”
After uttering her name, he fell silent. Matthew noticed that Noelle wasn’t at home. Rather, it seemed like she was in a car, and the lighting was dim.
“Yeah, I’m in Radiuria.”
Noelle had no intention of keeping secrets. She then turned her phone to show Ryleigh across from her.
“I’m with him, so you can rest assured.”
Dominic, who was with Matthew, leaned over and began making a fuss.
“Little Noelle, did you go to Ryleigh’s place?”
The other three people on both ends of the video were simultaneously speechless. Matthew directly pushed Dominic away, his gaze sternly warning him to keep quiet.
When Noelle had shifted the camera just now, he had spotted an unconscious woman in the corner. This must be the matter Noelle had been referring to when she declined his offer to join him.
“Ryleigh, take good care of Elle. Don’t let her get hurt.”
“You’re heartless. What if I got hurt?”
“Then that means you’re useless,” Matthew answered mercilessly.
Noelle chuckled softly, appreciating Matthew’s concern.
“The matter is settled, so I’m getting ready to head back.”
Matthew didn’t say much else; he simply asked Noelle to call him once she got home before he hung up.
The vehicle arrived at the tarmac, and the still unconscious Lilah was tossed into the rear cabin of the private plane.
Noelle had no intention of interrogating her. She didn’t want to get too involved; catching Lilah and handing her over was all she aimed to do, and then she would gracefully bow out.
Noelle looked at Ryleigh, who had once again appeared on the plane.
“Don’t you need to take care of your family matters?”
“If I don’t get you home safely, I’m afraid Matthew will come after me.”
“Your base station can clear a path.”
Noelle stroked her chin, considering the situation. It shouldn’t be a big problem. After all, it wouldn’t be fair to let Ryleigh help her out so much without any compensation.
Ryleigh was able to deduce that Noelle was affiliated with the government, even though her exact position was unclear.
However, the fact that she could handle this matter alone, and her methods…
She wasn’t exactly gentle, suggesting she must hold a high position.
“Is this your thank–you gift?”
One he simply couldn’t refuse. Initially, he just wanted to repay a favor, but this turned out to be an unexpected bonus.
“Unsatisfied?”
“It’s not really that,” he said, “I was just thinking about how I didn’t get you a thank–you gift the last time you helped me out.”
Noelle shook her head. The nature of these two matters was worlds apart. If Ryleigh couldn’t resolve his issue, it would be his
