Chapter 27 Capturing Lilah
“Follow her first. I’ll be there in ten minutes. I’m hanging up now.”
Noelle looked at the address Ryleigh sent. Thankfully, it wasn’t too far away.

Ryleigh did not question Noelle about the series of actions taken, nor did he ask how Noelle knew so much about his affairs- about his contacts in Radiuria or his private jet.
Ten minutes later, Noelle arrived at Ryleigh’s private mansion located on the outskirts of the city, where his private jet was parked.
Ryleigh was already waiting for her.
“Take a seat for now; they’re doing the safety checks. You heading to Radiuria?”
Before the plane could take off, a safety check was necessary. Noelle’s call had come in at the last minute, so they were already hurrying as much as they could.
“Yeah. I appreciate your help. The flight route has been approved, so we can take off as soon as they’re done.”
Noelle followed Ryleigh as they walked inside.
“Ms. Yersley, you really are something.”
At this point, being able to establish a new route signified that Noelle’s identity wasn’t as straightforward as it appeared.
Twenty minutes later, the plane was ready, and they were informed that they could take off at any moment.
Watching as Ryleigh followed her onto the plane, Noelle raised an eyebrow.
“Gotta go the whole nine yards.”
Seeing as Noelle was going there all alone and even asked him for help to keep an eye on the airport, it seemed there was no one to meet her there. If something were to happen on his turf, how was he supposed to explain it to Matthew?
Noelle accepted his goodwill as having him involved made resolving the matter much easier.
“How long will it take to get there?”
Ryleigh often went there, so he should be quite familiar with the routine.
“Four hours.”
Noelle calculated the time and realized they would be arriving an hour later than Lilah.
However, Lilah had taken a regular flight, so it would take some time to exit the airport. They should be able to make it in time.
Noelle let out a sigh, leaning back in her seat with a sense of relaxation.
“Thank you.”
She really owed it to Ryleigh today.
“You’re welcome, Ms. Yersley. You helped me out last time too.”
Throughout the entire ordeal, Ryleigh seemed to have no qualms about her actions. He was considerate enough not to disturb Noelle, allowing her to rest for a while.
It had to be said, it was quite nice to associate with someone who knew their boundaries.
The plane touched down, and they got into a car previously arranged by Ryleigh. They listened as his subordinates gave a report.
Fifteen minutes prior, Lilah had exited the airport and climbed into a business vehicle, which was now heading toward the

suburbs. Ryleigh’s men were currently following her.

Noelle watched the red dot moving on the tablet screen, indicating the location of Lilah’s car. It wasn’t far from them now.
Noelle gazed out the car window, taking in the scene outside. It was already the middle of the night, and there were hardly any people around.
“How long will it take to catch up with them?”
“Ten minutes,” the driver in front responded.
It seemed as if Ryleigh had guessed what Noelle was planning to do, as he slowly said, “Once we’ve left the city limits, then we make our move.”
After all, he was more confident about wrapping things up there. Stopping Lilah here posed the risk of exposure. There was no need to take that chance.
Noelle nodded in understanding, not bothering with formalities with him. He had arranged it, after all. There was no doubt that she would have to continue seeking his help for this matter.
Before long, their vehicle caught up with Lilah. After trailing behind her for a while, they accelerated and overtook the car she was riding in.
After passing a section where the streetlights had been destroyed, they came to a halt. Without delay, a few small spike strips were set up ahead.
Before long, Lilah’s car came speeding in. The vehicle went over the spike strips at high speed, causing the tires to burst and lose control. It skidded violently before slamming into a tree by the roadside.
A wisp of white smoke curled up from the front of the car, clearly indicating it was totaled. Judging by the extent of the vehicle’s damage, it seemed likely that the passengers were unharmed.
Sure enough, a man emerged from the driver’s seat, shortly followed by another man and a woman who got out of the vehicle to assess the situation.
Noelle set down the night–vision binoculars she had been holding. Apart from the three individuals who had alighted from the vehicle, only Lilah was left inside.
Ryleigh gave a signal, and several people stealthily sprang into action. The three unsuspecting individuals were checking the vehicle when they were shot with tranquilizer guns. They collapsed instantly to the ground.
A few well–trained individuals clad in black dragged the unconscious group onto another vehicle, while Noelle managed to get the panicked Lilah into her car.
Inside the car, Noelle was toying with the flash drive in her hand, casually tossing it up and down. In the corner, Lilah’s heart was also skipping beats, mirroring the rhythm of the flash drive’s movements.
From the moment she got in the car, the other party hadn’t uttered a single word. She had no idea who they were. Had she exposed herself, or were they the enemies of those few people? In her heart, she silently prayed it was the latter.
She was well aware of the dreadful consequences she’d face if her actions were discovered.
Throughout the journey, Noelle remained silent, and eventually, the car came to a halt on a nearby desolate hill.
The three individuals with Lilah were tossed out of the other vehicle. Noelle, donning the headphones Ryleigh passed over, tuned into the commotion outside.
As Corvainans, she and Ryleigh were too conspicuous. A few of Ryleigh’s local subordinates who spoke Upresian were interrogating them. She had to first ascertain exactly who these people were.
Noelle observed the three people who had been abruptly awakened. The driver, who had been the first to get out, was clearly panicked and frightened. The man and woman who followed, however, managed to maintain a semblance of calm..
