Carlos looked at Noelle with a sense of relief. This child handles matters with calmness and meticulous thought, exhibiting the demeanor of a great leader.
After having a chat with Carlos, Noelle returned to her laid–back lifestyle. Since she had already given the orders for what to do, there was no need for her to constantly watch over the situation. Now, all she had to do was wait for the fish to take the bait.
There was a saying that went, plans could never keep up with changes. Everything was arranged perfectly during the day, but by night, things would go awry.
Suddenly, Noelle’s phone began to ring. It was Duke calling.
Noelle immediately sat up. Something had gone wrong. Otherwise, they would have just communicated online. Clearly, the situation was now urgent.
Sure enough, as soon as Noelle answered the phone, Duke’s voice came through from the other side.
“Boss, Lilah has left the country. Her flight just took off.”
“Send me the information.”
After uttering those words, Noelle ended the call and dialed Griffin’s number.
She urged him to investigate immediately. Weren’t they supposed to be keeping an eye on the situation? How did they allow Lilah to leave the country?
While waiting for Griffin to call again, Noelle looked over the information Duke sent. Lilah had used a false identity, which had delayed their receipt of the news.
The flight had been airborne for 40 minutes. It was a non–stop journey to the capital of Radiuria, Nightridge, a trip that would take five and a half hours.
Noelle was deep in thought. Having the flight turn back would cause quite a commotion, one that would be difficult to suppress. Moreover, the matter was still under investigation, so it was crucial not to make a big fuss about it.
Noelle’s eyes flickered as she thought of someone.
Let’s wait for the definitive news from Griffin’s end first.
It was already too late to give notice now. If it was confirmed that Lilah had left the country, Noelle would have to deal with it immediately.
She directly called Orlando, candidly telling him about what was going on with the Zimmers family..
Upon hearing that Noelle planned to go abroad personally, Orlando furrowed his brows.
“No, it’s too dangerous.”
“I’m directly in charge of this matter, so nobody understands it better than I do. If it’s true, it’s even more my responsibility to bring her back.”
“I’ll send someone to protect you.”
“She’s headed to Nightridge, Radiuria’s capital. All I need from you is a flight route there.”
Orlando fell silent, realizing the truth in Noelle’s words. The nation couldn’t interfere in this matter, or it would escalate into a diplomatic incident.
Moreover, if they recklessly rushed over and something went wrong, they would undoubtedly be at fault.
“Take care of yourself. Remember, your safety comes first.”
The situation was critical, so it wasn’t the time for hesitation. After reminding her to be careful, Orlando went off to make the arrangements.

Very soon, Noelle received confirmation from Griffin that Lilah was indeed on the plane.

Lilah had an older sister. The two sisters had both returned to their childhood home that day, pulling off a covert operation.
Lilah had left the country using her sister’s identity. Griffin’s men had mistaken her for someone else and were still keeping watch near the entrance of the Zimmers family’s residence.
Upon hearing the crucial part, Noelle interrupted Griffin’s nonsense. She instructed him to keep a close eye on the Daines family and warned him that there couldn’t be any more mistakes.
Surprisingly, it was Lilah who had gone abroad, not a member of the Zimmers family. Moreover, before leaving the country, she had visited the Daines family and played out this act with her sister.
It seemed that the Daines family was undeniably involved in this matter. They likely didn’t realize they were under surveillance, yet they still acted cautiously. Such carefulness was truly commendable.
Meanwhile, Griffin was quick to agree. He had some knowledge about the cybersecurity department’s investigation into the military department this time
Hence, when Noelle asked him to monitor someone, he naturally agreed without hesitation.
Keeping an eye on a woman was a trivial matter for his men.
If what was said was indeed true, then the achievement would be no small feat. Once resolved, he, too, would get a slice of the pie.
Even if it all ended up being a false alarm, he still made a favorable impression on Noelle. No matter how he looked at it, he wouldn’t lose out.
Unexpectedly, this incident occurred. There was a pretty good chance that something was off with Lilah.
However, a mistake had occurred under his watch. The thought of something going wrong sent a chill down his spine, leaving him in a cold sweat.
This time, there was no room for carelessness. He swiftly assigned additional personnel to strictly monitor the Daines family. If anyone escaped under these circumstances, his tenure as the Director of the National Security Agency would undoubtedly be at its end.
After confirming the news, Noelle found the phone number Matthew had given her to contact Ryleigh and immediately gave him a call.
“It’s me, Noelle.”
“Ms. Yersley?”
Ryleigh was somewhat taken aback when he received a call from Noelle at this hour. He wondered what could have possibly happened.
“Is now a good time? I need your help with something.”
“Go ahead, Ms. Yersley, speak your mind.”
Ryleigh hadn’t expected that the opportunity to return a favor would come so quickly.
“Help me keep an eye on someone at Nightridge International Airport. If possible, I’d like to borrow your private jet too,” Noelle directly stated her request.
Radiuria was Ryleigh’s stronghold, so no one was more suitable for this matter than him
No problem,” Ryleigh readily agreed.
“I’ve sent you the information. Four hours later, her flight will land at Nightridge International Airport.”
Ryleigh quickly sent the information to the people he had there, arranging for them to stake out at the airport.
“Do we detain her?”
