Dominic and Alex were still engrossed in the game downstairs when Noelle decided to head upstairs. Matthew followed her up.
Upon reaching the entrance of the room, Noelle glanced back at Matthew.
“Is there anything you’d like to ask?” she asked.
He followed her all the way to her room door, yet he remained silent.
Matthew shook his head, chuckling lightly. “Rest well.”
Noelle was not in a good mood that day, so he was not in a rush.
Noelle seemed to gradually let her guard down around him. Although she didn’t share everything with him, she didn’t intentionally hide things either. She naturally revealed herself to him.
Matthew figured Noelle cared about him to some extent because of the question she asked him.
Thinking that he had everything figured out, Matthew completely ignored the presence of the other two people that day.
Noelle’s state at that moment was akin to a book caressed by the wind, only revealing its contents as each page was turned. This sense of anticipation had his blood surging with excitement.
He had always been patient when it came to things he desired.
That day, he gained a deeper understanding of Noelle, which put Matthew in a good mood as he returned to his room.
The next day, as usual, Matthew picked up Noelle from the campus. This time, however, they had an unwelcome addition in the car, Dominic, who had insisted on tagging along.
Matthew thought about taking Noelle out to unwind. He had to admit that when it came to food, drink, and entertainment, Dominic was indeed more adept than him. It would be good to let Noelle relax a bit.
The car came to a halt at a familiar location, and Matthew turned to look at Dominic.
“Is this the place you mentioned for unwinding?” Matthew asked. This is the clubhouse where we had our meal yesterday. Why are we here to unwind? Dominic must be itching for a beating.
“Come with me. I promise it’ll be relaxing.”
Ten minutes later, the trio stood at the entrance of the massage parlor.
“The technique here is pretty good. A little massage guarantees full body relaxation. I come here often. Haha!”
The main goal was to coax Matthew into it, as his family had a dedicated masseuse.
In the past, Dominic’s invitations were always rebuffed. At that moment, with Noelle around, he didn’t believe Matthew would refuse to enter.
Noelle furrowed her brows and said, “You guys go ahead.”
“Don’t, Little Noelle. The main purpose is to help you relax.”
Noelle remained unmoved. Lying there for a massage is essentially entrusting my life to others. There’s no way I’m going in.
Without any further ado, Matthew took hold of Noelle’s hand and promptly turned to leave.
“Hey! Hey! Don’t go. If you don’t want a massage, that’s fine. At the very least, let’s have a meal here.”
Matthew stopped in his tracks, turning to Noelle with a questioning look. Noelle nodded in response. Well, since we’re already here…
They had a private room there, which was not open to the public.

In the end, Matthew was left speechless as he looked at the few uninvited individuals who had shown up. Normally, these people would always be so busy that catching a glimpse of them was rare. Lately, however, the frequency of our encounters has seemed unusually high.
In fact, it was quite a coincidence. Zeke had recently been on vacation. That day, he was hanging out with a few friends at that place when he unexpectedly ran into them. Without a second thought, he left his friends and went over.
Ryleigh had always been here. Though it appeared to be merely a clubhouse on the surface, it was a significant stronghold for Ryleigh in Jamore.
He adhered to the concept of living inconspicuously within the hustle and bustle of the city. However, something had recently occurred, and he had been keeping a close watch. Upon hearing that they had arrived, he naturally went over to see them.
They were all there, so they simply called Joseph over as well, thus once again gathering the whole group together.
Upon entering the room, Joseph breezed past the others, politely extending his greetings.
“Ms. Yersley, we meet again!”
Dominic cast a glance at Joseph, who was wearing glasses and exuding a sense of politeness, and clicked his tongue. “Little Noelle, don’t let this guy’s outward appearance deceive you. He’s nothing but a wolf in sheep’s clothing, the epitome of a refined scoundrel. When people talk about a beast in gentleman’s clothing, they’re referring to him.”
Upon hearing those words, Noelle raised an eyebrow. She knew Joseph was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, but she was a bit surprised that Dominic would say so to her.
Joseph did not retort, and he simply took a seat in the empty spot. As their gazes met, it was clear that Dominic had a soft spot for Noelle.
Joseph was indeed not as gentle as he appeared. Since he was mingling with them, he couldn’t possibly have a good temper. Moreover, at their level of status, there was no need for him to demean himself to please anyone.
Despite Joseph always putting up a facade in public, they wouldn’t dare to expose him.
Dominic’s words clearly indicated that he regarded Noelle as one of their own. A few people silently turned their gazes toward Matthew, their eyes teasing. Dominic had evidently outdone him in showing his affections.
Matthew disregarded them. What a bunch of uninvited fellows…
Naturally, he served Noelle some food, engaging in a conversation with her as if they were the only two people in the world.
“Feeling good today?” he asked.
Noelle nodded, her eyes curving slightly as she revealed a rare, childlike smile.
Her tone also held a hint of excitement.
“We’re starting orientation, and it’s for half a month.”
“You’re actually excited about orientation? Let me tell you something. The orientation at Jamore University isn’t held on campus. It’s at a nearby military base where you’re exposed to the wind and sun. The conditions are tough, and it’s exhausting. I nearly wore myself out when I did it.”
