“I… I have seen the new girl in the basement several times in the middle of the night. L. I don’t know what she is always looking for Dave, the guard, said.
“You mean Kelly, by the new girl, right?” Drake asked, looking a litle uncomfortable,
“Yes, yes,” the guard replied.
Before Drake could speak again. I cleared my throat. “Why didn’t you say anything?” I asked, looking directly at Maya
Maya took a deep breath. “I should have,” she said, her head bowed. “I just thought that because she was new, she could have lost her way somewhere.
“Several nights?” I asked. It was obvious that she was hiding something.
Maya shut her eyes. “I wanted to investigate it myself. I’m sorry,” she said.
I was silent for a while. Then I looked at Drake. “Keep on investigating. The traitor should pay for what they have done. And… Get everything ready. We will bury Finn in the evening and leave early tomorrow morning.”
With that. I took the phone from Drake and left. Everyone watched as I walked towards the dispensary.
After giving some instructions. Drake ran after me. Maya hesitated for a second before following too..
Kelly’s POV
I had just woken up when the door was pushed open. Looking at the door. I sat up. “Don,” I called, looking a bit terrified.
I remembered being in pain. I didn’t know how I ended up in that bed.
Tony looked at me briefly before swinging the phone in his hand. “Do you know what this is?” He asked.
I could tell that he was in a bad mood. I creased my brows. “A phone?” I asked.
Tony was looking at me, maybe to see my emotions. “This phone is clean. No messages, no call history…” he said.
I was more confused. I didn’t know what was going on. “Is it new Lasked in a very low voice.
Tony looked at me for a while longer. He didn’t say anything. He put the phone away.
At the same time, Drake and Maya walked in. I could immediately tell that something was wrong.
“Is it because I left my post? I’ll be careful next time and not fall sick,” I said tensely.
The only thing I was scared of was being tossed out of this place.
Tony looked at me again. “Have you talked to anyone outside this place since you came?”
I immediately shook my head. “No! I don’t even have a phone?”
They got rid of my phone that day they picked me up, saying that the enemies could trace it.
“What about the phone hidden in your room? Stop lying.” Maya immediately spoke up. She seemed angry.
Maya!” Tony called, stopping her from speaking. It was the first time that he almost shouted at her.
Maya looked on the floor, tears welling in her eyes. “I’m sorry. I just feel bad that Finn had to die like that…..”.
I creased my brows when I heard this. “Um, there was a phone in my room? And somebody died? “I asked, very shocked.
Tony’s expression turned a little softer. “So, do you know anything about it?” He asked. For some reason, he seemed relieved.
I shook my head “Nothing” I don’t know anything, be it the phone or someone dying.” I said.
Chapter 8 Looking For A Door
“What about you walking around at night? What are you always looking for?” Maya asked
I paused and looked at her. “Do I also walk around at night I asked, a look of fear appearing on my face.
“You do! Stop pretending. The guard has been seeing you!” Maya almost shouted.
I swallowed hard and looked away from everyone. “It’s back then.” I said, my voice sad and lowered.
“What’s back” Tony asked. He didn’t seem so mad at me like he was before.

I swallowed hard. “If I walk around at night, I’m always looking for a door,” I said I was still scared
Drake looked at Tony, then hack at me. “What door? Did someone send you
“Hell no! “I said and sighed deeply. “A door to a peaceful sleep”
“What are you talking about? She’s hiding it. She is the mole,” Maya said,
Bait Tony just stared at me. “Continue speaking,” he said.
1 sighed again. “I have nightmares, and I sleepwalk,” I said calmly.

Tony sighed. Drake also sighed. Hat Maya shook her head. “She’s fooling everyone. She’s acting innocent. You have to believe
me
I swallowed hard again. I looked at Maya with a teary face. “You say that I’m pretending to be you, right? Is that why you hate me so much?” Lasked.
“What? You”
“I’m not pretending to be you, Maya. Tim just me. And for being Scott’s slaughter, both you and I know the truth, don’t we?”
“You She’s bullying me. Tony, she wants you to think I’m the bad guy here,” Maya said, tears falling from her eyes.
I shook my head. I looked pitiful, but I didn’t cry. “I don’t want you to look had. But I don’t want to look had either. I only want to survive, and this is the only safe place I can think of. I will never do anything to ruin that, because I promise you that once out there, I’ll be the first person they’ll come at. I don’t want frothie.”
“So, you are saying that you are not the snitch? Maya asked. She was angry that Tony hadn’t defended her. “How do you explain the phone?”
I looked away again. “I believe that you have professionals here. Why don’t they investigate everything? I’m sure they’ll find the answers.” I said slowly. “I have nothing to hide.”
You
“Can I go back to my post now?” I asked, my eyes turned teary. I felt had that no one trusted me. I missed my dad and brother. They would have believed me,
Tony seemed to be deep in thought when he heard my question. He immediately shook his head. “No!” he said.
We all looked at him in confusion. I licked my lips and nodded my head. “I know that you all don’t trust me. That’s fine.
“Stay in bed until you get better,” Tony spoke up, interrupting me. He looked at Drake and Maya. “I want you two to find out how they found this place.”
Maya opened her eyes in shock. “It’s her! Tony”
“No! It’s not her, Tony replied, his voice calm, but his eyes dry and dark.
