Chapter 18 Who Is The Girl?

Tony had begun walking to the door when he heard my words. He stopped walking. “What did you say?” He asked, without turning to look at me at first.
1 tensed up. I knew I was playing a dangerous game. But I was tired of having people like him control my life.
So what if Dad had told me to find him? So what if being with him was the only place I was safe?
I needed my peace of mind too!
When I didn’t say anything after a while, he turned around and nodded his head. “Yeah. I thought as mich”
But I felt so mad. Did he think that I was scared of him just because he was some powerful underworld Mafia?
“Im resigning.” I repeated. “Im not qualified to be your guard”
Tony furrowed his brows at me. It seemed like he either didn’t understand what I was saying, or that he didn’t believe me.
Then he scoffed. “Just stop being stubborn and go back to your room,” he sail
But I stood my ground. “No! I don’t want to work for you and I don’t want to stay in this house,” I said.
I knew that just a little push and tears would be falling from my eyes. But I didn’t care. I wanted to go and find Adam.
“Ooh.” He ridiculously raised his brows. He was so mad that veins were popping on his face. “So I want you to get this. Kelly, you are not leaving me unless I say so.”
With that, he took steady steps out of the house. “No!” I shouted. “You can’t keep ute hostage. F’in leaving!“.
But no matter how I shouted, he didn’t stop. He got into his car and left.
I wiped some tears from the corner of my eyes. “Who do these men think they are?” I asked angrily. “I’m leaving this house!”
1 went upstairs and packed the few things that belonged to me. I was determined to leave.
However, at the gate. I realized that I couldn’t get out. It needed some biometric authentication for it to open.
I angrily threw my bag on the floor. I hated men! They were all just the same.
Tony’s POV
I was going to my company, but I decided to pass by Ben’s clinic because it was on the way.
But I was shocked when I saw my grandfather and Wendy walk into his office. I didn’t go in. I used the back door and went to his resting room. From there, I could hear their conversation:
“Um, Grandpa! You didn’t say you were coming. Ben said and rushed to pull a seat for him.
Old Richardson sighed, “We were passing by, and we decided to check on you,” he said.
I scoffed. This was my maternal grandfather. Even though I suffered for a while and was taken in by Master, my maternal grandfather came looking for me afterward.
Even though we had never met before, he said that I was his blood and that he wouldn’t let anyone bully me again.
From that time, he, and his family, had been very good to me. I even changed my surname and adopted my mother’s
After exchanging some pleasantries, Old Richardson cleared Ins throat. “So, how is Tony doing?” he asked.
I sighed. I should have known that it was all about me.
I was grateful to my grandfather, but it had been long since we had seen each other. I barely went back to the old residence since everyone was forcing me to get married

Ben sighed. “Didn’t he tell you?” He asked. A few people knew about my problem that I couldn’t be aroused by women.
At one point. Old Richardson had arranged for Wendy to get in my bed by drugging me. But later, when he learned of the whole situation and that nothing happened, he was worried.
That was why he had forced me to see Ben for treatment,
“You know how that idiot is. He never shares anything with me,” my old man sai

I cursed inwardly. I knew that all he wanted was for me to marry. And the girl he had in mind was the one sitting beside him.
Wendy was a beautiful lady in her late twenties. Her family was friends with Richardson
Old Richardson liked Wendy very much and had tried several times to set her up with me. He often said that she would be his granddaughter–in–law.
It was obvious that Wendy was fond of me too. Whenever I was around, she was always following me.
And even though it wasn’t open to others whether I liked her back, 1 had always treated her well. Many people even said that we were engaged.
“What about you? Did you keep it from Grandpa too?” Ben asked. “You should have told him of the progress. You know he is
worried.
And I sighed deeply. Ben was stupid. Did he think that the girl I had slept with was Wendy?
Wendy seemed confused “Tell him what?” she asked.
Ben still didn’t understand the situation. “That Tony is fine. It’s like he wasn’t sick from the beginning. It’s like he just wasn’t willing to do all these things. He told me everything that happened between the two of you
“What?” Wendy asked in confusion. “What happened between us?”
“He didn’t sleep with you? Then who was it? He confessed it.” Ben said in a low voice.
But then he realized that he might have said the wrong words, and he laughed awkwardly. “Ah! Forget I said that. I must have heard it wrong.
What? Something happened between you two and you didn’t tell me?” the old man asked. He was probably talking to Wendy.
“Grandpa,” she called in an embarrassed voice. It was like she was trying to cover up the fact that she didn’t know what was going on.
“Ah! Forget it!” The old man said. “You were probably shy.”
But he sounded genuinely happy. “Since Tony doesn’t have any problems, then you two should get married and give me. some great–grandchildren.
“We will, Grandpa,” she said shyly.
“That bastard!” The only man said. “Tell him to come over when you see him next file is so old now.”
Ren sighed. “He just fired me,” he complained. “He is so ungrateful
The old man burst out laughing. “You did a great job, sou! You need a good reward”
After talking for a while, the two left. One was super happy while the other was disturbed.
I came out of my hiding. Ben seemed surprised, but he had better questions to ask. “Who is the girl?” He asked curiously.
