Chapter 12 It Was A Nightmare

I was running through a corridor of fire. I needed to find my way out or I would be burned to death.
The whole building was so hot that I was covered in sweat. I could feel the heat of the fire even from a distance.
Run! You have to find the door!” A voice shouted in my head. It was my voice. I knew I had to run.
So I ran, jumping over some parts of the fire until I reached the door on the other side of the corridor.
But when I tried to open it, it was locked. It didn’t budge. I looked behind me in fear. The fire was just right behind me. In just a matter of seconds, it would consume me.
“You have to open.” I said in fear and began banging on the door. I had to save myself.
But no matter how I banged and kicked it, it still didn’t open
The fire caught up with me, and I could feel my skin burning up. I screamed, tears of pain falling from my eyes. But I still didn’t want to give up.
I used more force on the door. I had to get out and find help

But suddenly, the door was pushed open from the other side. I reacted in time and stepped back. I would have been hit
I blinked my eyes when I saw the man standing in front of me. “What?” I said and looked at my hands. I was fine. I wasn’t burning up.
Tony’s POV
I was woken up the the loud banging of the door. It felt confusing because whenever I was in my house, it was always so quiet.
Sitting up, the hanging became urgent and louder. It was then that I remembered there was someone in the next room.
Still, in my pajamas, I walked out to confirm what was happening. And I was confused when I found out that the door was
locked.
The person inside was still banging on it loudly like she was in some kind of danger. There were even muffled voices like she was crying.
Alerted, I rushed downstairs and looked through the drawers for a spare key. Then I rushed back up and opened it.
I was worried that she could be in some kind of danger and maybe she needed help.
But I raised my brows when I saw her standing by the door, tears covering her face,
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“Are you okay?” Tony asked. And I came back to my senses.
I was sleep–waking and having another nightmare before he came into the room.
I suddenly got so emotional and sad. “Why is this happening again?” I asked, and tears began falling from my eyes again.
I sat on the bed and cried, and no matter how I tried to stop, I couldn’t. More tears just fell from my eyes.
Shockingly, Tony didn’t leave. He sat on the couch on the side and looked at me silently. He didn’t say anything else.
It was only after I had stopped crying that I wiped away my tears in embarrassment. “I’m sorry.” I said. I had woken him up.
Chapter 12 It Was A Nightmare
He didn’t reply. Instead, he stood up and poured me a glass of water. “Have some,” he said.
I was thirsty after all the crying. So I took the glass and gulped down the water. “Thanks,” I said

Tony looked at me quietly for a while. I felt a little terrified. Maybe he would fire me thinking I wasn’t qualified for the job
“I’m sorry for waking you up. It won’t happen again,” I said, even though I didn’t know if I would keep that promise.
___“Mmh.” Tony said. “Go back to sleep.”
He walked to the door and switched off the lights. Hut Limmediately jumped off the bed. I didn’t want to be in the dark.
“Um the lights. I think I’ll stay up for a while.” I said in fear. I was trembling
Tony switched the lights on and looked at me. “Are you still scared?” He asked.
Thesitated for a second before nodding my head. “Veal,” I said I was scared I didn’t want to be about it.
He was silent for a while again. Then he sighed. “What would your dad and further do when it happened in the past?” He Jasked.
I went silent and looked away from him. I felt sad when I thought about them. “They would keep me company and hug me to sleep,” I said, and my eyes turned teary
“Okay,” Tony said and locked the door behind him. “Get back to be
“Huh?” I raised my brows in astonishment when he got into my bed. What was he doing?
“Aren’t you scared? I’ll keep you company,” he said.
His actions shocked me. When I told him that my brother and dad would keep me company, I didn’t mean that he had to do
it too.
I wanted to argue, but thinking of the possibility of being in my room alone if he left, I changed my mind.
Awkwardly, I got on the bed and lay very close to the edge. I was sharing the bed with my boss.
However, the next instant, Tony moved closer to me and wrapped his arms around me from behind.

“Sleep,” he ordered in a domineering voice. I couldn’t refute him,
So I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. It was difficult.
After all, he was the first man, apart from my dad or brother, who was hugging me like that. His hug seemed a little different. I just couldn’t explain it.
He remained so calm and quiet that I wasn’t sure if he was asleep or not. It made me even more uneasy. I couldn’t even move around.
After a while, I turned my face to see if he was asleep. I didn’t know why I did that.
And I was so embarrassed when I met his eyes, looking back at me.
He held my eyes for a second, and my heart almost stopped beating
Then I quickly turned my head and bit on my lips. I shouldn’t have looked at him.
“Is there something wrong” He asked.
