No wonder his number hadn’t changed since that day. So Tiffany was pregnant.
“I told her to get rid of it, but she refused. She threatened to tell you everything if I didn’t let her keep it. I had no choice, so…”
“Jason, you really are shameless.”
I stood up to leave, but Jason chased after me. He tried to grab my hand to explain, but Ethan blocked him.
“Uncle Ethan, you have no loyalty! You knew Aria was my girlfriend!!”
“Oh? I think I’m quite loyal,” Ethan said matter–of–factly. “At the very least, I waited until after you broke up before getting together
with Aria.”
“Last night…”
Jason suddenly remembered Ethan’s strange behavior the night before, and everything clicked into place.
He realized why his uncle wasn’t in his own room but in a guest room, and the sounds he’d heard outside the door. They really had been together last night!
“Besides, if we’re talking about who came first, Jason, I wasn’t later than you,” Ethan said coldly, looking at him.
“I stepped aside for you once, but you didn’t cherish her.”
“What do you mean?”
Not only was Jason confused, but I was too.
Just then, someone ran in from outside. It was Tiffany.
When she saw Jason, all her emotions found an outlet.
“Jason, why aren’t you answering my calls?!!”

Tiffany turned her head, belatedly noticing me and seeing Ethan holding my hand.
“Aria? How are you…”
But in the next second, Tiffany understood everything.

“No wonder you didn’t answer your phone or messages last night. Turns out you were the one being cheated on.”

Tiffany laughed somewhat maniacally. “This is perfect. You two are even now. You both cheated, so neither of you owes the other anything.”
“Tiffany!”
Jason suddenly grabbed Tiffany’s wrist, pulling her in front of me. “Explain everything to Aria right now. Tell her you were the one who seduced me that time!”
“So what if I did? Did I force you?” Tiffany sneered, shaking off his hand. “Who was it that snuck out to meet me behind Aria’s back? Once or twice might have been me seducing you, but what about the dozens of other times?”
Jason’s face turned pale, unable to say a word in his defense.

“Aria, we grew up together. Do you know how much I’ve hated you all these years?”
I pursed my lips, looking at her as if she were insane.
“Your grades were better than mine, you’re prettier than me, you got into the medical school I couldn’t, and you even dated Jason. No matter how hard I tried, I could never surpass you. I was destined to live in your shadow forever.”
“You did surpass me,” I said coldly, staring at her. “Your shamelessness surpassed mine.”
Tiffany laughed numbly, then suddenly turned and slapped Jason hard across the face.
“You despicable man!”
Jason was stunned by the slap, instinctively retaliating by pushing Tiffany to the ground.
Tiffany clutched her stomach and cried out in pain, her expression twisted. Ethan called for someone to take her to the hospital and had Jason escorted there as well.
