“Uncle Ethan? Why are you here?”
Jason peered curiously into the dark room. I crouched by the door, not daring to make a sound.
“I had too much to drink and came up to rest for a bit. Were you looking for Aria?”
“Yeah, have you seen her?”
Ethan shook his head honchalantly. “No. Why are you asking me about your own girlfriend that you can’t keep track of?”
Jason’s expression changed slightly. “Well, I won’t disturb your rest then, Uncle Ethan.”
With that, he turned and went back downstairs. The second floor became quiet again.
The room door closed once more. In the darkness, I angrily punched Ethan’s chest.
“What were you doing, teasing me like that? Was it fun?”
“It was fun,” Ethan laughed, his fingers tracing the fallen strap of my dress on my shoulder. “You look very beautiful tonight. I like it.”
I blushed.
“Didn’t you just tell me to stay away from you earlier…”
“That was a lie. Couldn’t you tell?”
He wrapped an arm around my waist, lifting me up and pressing me against the door as he kissed me. Our breathing grew rapid. He smiled and nipped at my lip.
“You’re not drunk this time. You won’t regret it tomorrow, will you?”

I shook my head, blushing as I wrapped my arms around his neck. My gaze moved from the 1683 above his head to his handsome face. I tilted my head up to give him a light kiss.
My phone rang at the worst possible moment. The screen showed it was Jason calling. I quickly rejected the call.
Ethan’s eyes darkened.
“Break up with him right now.”
Ethan carried me to the bed. I opened my chat with Jason and replied:
“Let’s break up.”
The next second, Jason’s call came through urgently. I hung up, and he immediately called again.
Ethan wrapped an arm around my waist, gently squeezing the places Jason had once held. I pushed him away, feeling ticklish, but he took advantage of my distraction to answer the call.
“Hello! Aria, what’s going on? Why are you suddenly breaking up with me?”
Jason’s anxious voice rang out. I pressed Ethan’s hand, my breathing quickening.
“Jason, I know everything about you and Tiffany. There’s no point in continuing our relationship. Let’s break up.”
“Aria, listen to me. It’s not what you think with Tiffany…”
I didn’t wait to hear Jason’s explanation, quickly hanging up the phone and turning it off.
Ethan looked down at me, praising me by patting my head.
“Good girl.”

What followed was a storm of passionate kisses. Ethan pressed me onto the bed, pinning my hands above my head. Intense kisses were accompanied by the sound of falling fabric as the buttons on his shirt popped open, revealing his smooth chest.
I gazed at him with hazy eyes, wrapping my arms around him. He gripped my waist tightly as I called out his name in a trembling
voice.
After some time in the guest room, I looked at the flickering 1680 above Ethan’s head in the faint moonlight. Satisfied, I curved my lips into a smile and fell asleep in his arms.
