I'm getting a divorce ch 2

Ah, well, no use crying over spilled milk.

Charlie had his arm wrapped around his wife as he welcomed the guests. Though he was nearly forty, Charlie was still tall, slender, and attractively reserved. He was gentle and kind to his wife, but unbeknownst to everyone, he had another family out there, and they even had a daughter.

Once all the guests had arrived, Sophia and I exchanged a look, and the plan was put in motion. Night had fallen, and I looked around for the scapegoat. There she was, my husband’s mistress, Lorelei Wood.

My mood was instantly lifted. ‘Oh, you’re getting punished for manslaughter tonight,’ I thought.

“Why are you here alone, Ms. Shaw? It’s Mrs. Lawson’s birthday, and you look… plain.” Lorelei played with her hair and showed off the pink diamond ring she was wearing.

A flash of jealousy flickered in my eyes, and I grabbed her wrist. “Where did you get this diamond?”

“Oh, Mr. Lawson gave it to me.”

Yeah, I knew that. I just needed an excuse to start something. And then I snatched the ring.

“What are you doing?”

“What am I— You seduced my husband and stole my diamond, you bitch! This is mine!”

“No, Mr. Lawson gave it to me! It’s a gift!”

“A gift? Have you looked in the mirror lately?”

My face was contorted with rage. This was not an act. I was really, really angry. I got that diamond in an auction, and it was part of my collection. I’d never gotten it cut, but my bastard of a husband made it into a ring for his mistress.

Now this bitch came here to show off. She was trying to humiliate me, and I would make her pay for that.

Sophia came up to us. “What are you doing, Bianca?”

“She stole my diamond! Help me out!”

Sophia quickly came to my aid. It was two on one, and Lorelei panicked. She shoved us backward, and Sophia gasped. She grabbed my arm, and we pretended to slip and fall into the sea.

“Bianca!”

“Honey!”

Our husbands lunged at us, but they were one step too late. The waves had engulfed us.
