“So, I found a replacement. Pink Romance. That ring is its flagship. You’ve not been paying attention to me, Bianca. Do you even know the company has a new jewelry store? And it’s under your name. The profits go to you. I only employed Lorelei because she’s popular with the people.
“Then, you and Sophia fell into the sea, and it hit the company a little, but it’s alright. The diamond is a hit. Didn’t you notice a lot of your clients were wearing them? I’ve talked to the merchants and tourism people there. We’re going to be partners, so I’m making that product.
I froze. I then read through the public apology and noticed a link at the end. It took me to a website that showcased a lot of jewelry.
“I was going to capture the people’s attention. It’s the first thing I did for you. You wanted to learn design? I would make a jewelry brand for you and lay out the foundation. You can build whatever you want on it. Make some money. You don’t have to worry about your finances anymore.”
I frowned. “And why did you bail her out after she pushed me into the sea?”
“The product just went online, and we couldn’t risk our ambassador having a criminal record. We made sure no reporters could interview her, and we took her back to her apartment just in case she blabbed. I made sure bodyguards kept watch on her 24/7. She had no contact with the outside world, so she couldn’t affect the business.
“That’s why I did so much to keep her constrained.”
Ah, yes, I remembered. Lorelei didn’t even say a word to anyone after Sophia and I fell into the sea. I thought Christopher was protecting her, but when I watched the video again, I realized she was wearing a mask when she came out of the police station, and her eyes seemed to be telling everyone, ‘Help me!‘
Someone obviously silenced her, and the bodyguards held her hands down tight. She couldn’t move, and they shoved her into the car before going off into the distance.
