Chapter 14
Javon hasn’t slept for three days.
The blue light from the computer screen reflected on his tired face, and the coffee cup was filled with thick brown stains.
sore
He rubbed his temples, his fingertips tapping quickly on the keyboard, lines of code scrolling like water.
Found it.
A blinking IP address appeared on the screen, pinpointing a luxury apartment in New York.
Javon sneered and hacked into the opponent’s device.
The camera automatically turned on, and a familiar face appeared on the
screen.
Clara had a proud smile on her face as she removed her makeup in front of the mirror. Her phone screen was lit up, showing the anonymous message she had just sent.
Elie deserved to be cyberbullied.
Javon’s eyes turned cold suddenly.
He quickly intercepted all the data in Clara’s computer, including her encrypted private photo album.
It was all about her decadent life when she was studying abroad: she was keen on being a mistress and having affairs, attending multiple parties,
and even had recordings of her bribing professors.
“I hope in the future you will understand that everything requires a cost.”
Javon sneered, raised the comers of his mouth, and with a flick of his finger, he bundled up all the documents.
It was late at night, Clara was enjoying her face mask while browsing Weibo. Suddenly, a strange message popped up on her computer screen.
Ms. Grayson, publicly apologize to Elie before 8 o’clock tomorrow moming, otherwise these photos will appear in Eric’s inbox.
The thumbnail in the attachment made her blood run cold instantly – it was her past that she most wanted to destroy.
“Who?! Who is messing around! she screamed and smashed the mouse.”
But then another video popped up on the screen: she hired someone to follow Elie, and the entire process of taking the bed photos was captured clearly.
The last line in red was shocking and heart–stopping: “You have 7 hours and 59 minutes left.”
She was so scared that she was trembling all over, and accidentally broke the mug beside her.
Looking at the mess all over the floor, she stood completely still in shock.
When the first ray of morning light penetrated through the curtains and entered the bedroom, Elie stared in shock at the phone, her fingertips trembling.
The Beacon forum was filled with Clara’s apology statement. In the statement, Clara admitted to spreading rumors out of jealousy. All posts
defaming Elic were deleted, and even
water army.
“How could this happen… she muttered to herself, suddenly overshadowed by a shadow.”
Javon pushed the hot milk towards her, his eyes dark with intensity: “Morning.”
Elie suddenly looked up and asked, “Was it you who did this?”
He smiled and took out his phone to show her Clara’s latest Moments post – a location tag at the airport with the caption “Going abroad for a break“.
“She didn’t dare to come back in the short term, Javon said casually, but couldn’t hide the hoarseness in his voice.”
Elie suddenly grabbed his hand, with countless complex emotions. flooding his heart.
She opened her mouth and, besides words of gratitude, she had a lot more
to say.
It was on the tip of my tongue, but all turned into a lump in my throat.
“No one has ever done these things for me, Elie’s voice trembled, “Thank you for being willing to believe in me and standing by my side
unconditionally to help me…”
Javon held her cold hand and smiled, “You deserve it, because you are a good person.”
The sunlight shone through the glass window onto his shoulders, and Elie noticed that he was still wearing yesterday’s shirt under his white coat, with coffee stains on the cuffs.
Chapter 14
She suddenly cried.
11
The tears that were not shed when humiliated in public, the tears that were held back when torn clothes, are all now falling on the hands of the two people holding each other.
Javon wiped away her tears with his thumb, not saying much in the way of comfort, just looking quietly out the window. Suddenly, he said softly:
“You see, it’s getting light outside.”
Outside the window, the morning sun was tearing through the clouds.
