Vittoria’s face froze, realizing that something was wrong.
Silvano stepped forward and grabbed Vittoria by the neck, lifting her up from the ground.
“Tell me! Are all those things you said before fake?!”
He suppressed the anger in his heart, regret spewing out, and his whole body trembling with fear.
What if all of that was fake? Wouldn’t that mean Maddalena was wronged?
Thinking about the words he had said before, Silvano felt like a ton of bricks had hit him, the pain overwhelming.
Vittoria struggled to breathe, her face turning red, but she still forced herself to lie, “Silo, I did all these things be- cause I love you!”
She struggled to spit out a few words, “I didn’t mean any harm, I just wanted to be with you.”
She reached out to touch Silvano’s cheek.
“Is Maddalena already married to someone else now? She won’t come back, so why can’t you choose me?”
“I will love you well! I will be devoted to you!”
Silvano looked at her appearance and felt disgusted. How could this woman in front of him compare to Maddalena in any way?
“Do you love me? Your love makes me sick! He abruptly pushed Vittoria away, his tone filled with disgust.”
“I brought you and your daughter back only out of gratitude, but one of you is insatiable and the other is malicious and shameless, Mrs. Cavanna? Give up on this idea! I will never be with you!”
Vittoria fell to the ground, looking at Silvano with a hateful gaze, and decided to just let it all out.
Her eyes turned sinister and her tone became sharp.
“Silvano, do you now despise me? Don’t forget that it was you who brought me into the Cavanna family. You would- n’t still be thinking about that woman, would you? Yes, it’s true, I did those things! But you allowed it all to happen!”
She screamed hysterically.
