The next day, when Maddalena woke up, Emilio was no longer by her side.

It wasn’t until she finished washing up and went downstairs that she saw Emilio sitting on the sofa waiting for her. Between the two of them, the atmosphere was somewhat subtle.

They were going to see wedding rings today.

Maddalena looked at him, feeling a bit unsure, and her eyes instinctively looked away.

Emilio also seemed to notice her discomfort, and he gentlemanly stood up and followed behind her without any hint

of intrusion.

As soon as they entered the store, the prepared shop assistant greeted them.

“Mr. Loredan, the ring you ordered previously has been completed. Please follow me.”

She led Maddalena and Emilio into the inner room, and soon the designer rushed over with the ring.

Under the soft light, two dazzling diamond rings lay quietly in a black velvet box. The main diamond was large, sur- rounded by smaller diamonds, shining brightly like stars surrounding the moon.

“Mr. Loredan had a keen eye. The design of this ring was inspired by the stars, symbolizing eternal and unwavering love. Just as the stars are surrounded by other stars, Mr. Loredan loves Ms. Albergo.” The designer introduced with a big smile on his face.

Maddalena’s gaze was drawn to the ring, the design of which was simple and elegant, yet incredibly delicate, just the style she liked. She looked at Emilio with some surprise.

In Emilio’s eyes, there was a hint of gentle smile, as if he had already anticipated her reaction.

Maddalena quickly avoided his gaze, but a ripple of emotion stirred in her heart.

“The two of you are truly a perfect match, a match made in heaven.” The designer keenly captured the subtle atmos- phere between the two, jokingly saying, “But, even newlyweds will have their disagreements, right? It’s all part of the package.”

Emilio chuckled softly and took responsibility, “It was my fault. I tired out my wife yesterday. I will be more careful next time.”

Maddalena’s cheeks instantly turned red, and she glared at Emilio fiercely.

Emilio’s eyes lit up with a smile as he reached out and took her hand.

“Do you like it?” he asked softly.

Maddalena nodded gently.

“That’s the one then, Emilio said to the shop assistant.”

When she left the store, Maddalena’s gaze was caught by a wedding dress in the shop window.

It was a Baroque-style wedding dress, not particularly innovative, but the design was very classic. The soft veil draped over the side of the wedding dress, gentle and beautiful.

Maddalena stopped in her tracks, her gaze falling on the wedding dress, lost in thought.

“What’s wrong?” Emilio noticed her actions and followed her gaze.

Maddalena hesitated for a moment, then seemed to make a decision.

“Can we exchange our wedding dress?”

She looked at Emilio, her hands slightly nervously clasped together.

The one chosen before was fine. It’s just… Maddalena doesn’t want to have anything to do with Silvano anymore. And this wedding dress suits her better.

Emilio’s heart skipped a beat as he immediately understood Maddalena’s intentions. His gaze softened.

“Of course you can, you don’t need to consider anything else. When it comes to wedding dresses, as long as it’s some- thing you like, that’s all that matters.”

“Do you want to go soak in the hot springs? Leroy opened a very nice hot spring hotel nearby.” Emilio raised an eye- brow and made a gesture of invitation.

Maddalena didn’t know why the topic suddenly shifted to hot springs, and she looked at Emilio with some confusion.

Perhaps her confusion was too obvious in her eyes, as Emilio’s lips curled up slightly.

“Last night I found your hands were very cold.”

His voice was low and ambiguous, and Maddalena almost instantly recalled the absurdity of last night. Her face turned red, she glared fiercely at Emilio, and walked forward in silence.

Emilio chuckled softly.

“Last night-” He had just started speaking when he was interrupted by Maddalena.

“Shut up!” Maddalena glared at him angrily, “Don’t mention what happened last night!”

Emilio’s eyes lit up with a stronger smile, and he closed his mouth in a knowing way.
