Chapter 16

Vittoria’s face froze, “Silvano, listen to me explain…”

“Explanation? What else is there to explain?” Silvano’s eyes were cold as he looked down at Vittoria, who was lying on the ground.

“I’m sorry, Silvano, I was wrong.”

Vittoria crawled over and grabbed Silvano’s pant leg. She looked up, her eyes filled with pleading.

“Silvano, I did all this because I loved you so much, it wasn’t intentional, I just simply wanted to be with you!”

She said eagerly, as if wanting to prove herself, she grabbed Silvano’s hand and pressed it against her chest.

“Since the first day I saw you, I have liked you. My heart beats for you. Can you feel it?”

Vittoria’s voice was soft, but like a needle, it pierced Silvano’s heart. He looked at Vittoria kneeling at his feet in as- tonishment, as if for the first time realizing her intentions.

“Silvano, what’s so good about Maddalena? She’s like this now, why do you still chase after her? If she really loved you, she wouldn’t have left!”

Vittoria was filled with resentment and jealousy towards Maddalena.

Why does Silvano still think about Maddalena when she has already left?

Silvano stared at Vittoria, his eyes inscrutable. He was about to say something when he was interrupted by a sudden phone call. The person who called was Jake.

“Don’t say your brothers don’t support you, I’ve sorted out the people at the bridal shop, got Maddalena’s phone num- ber, you come quickly.”

Excited voice of Jake came from the other end of the phone.

Silvano’s heart skipped a beat, as if grasping at a lifesaving straw.

“Okay, I got it.”

He hung up the phone, suppressed the violent thoughts in his heart, and looked at Vittoria again with cold eyes.

“Take your daughter and move out now! I don’t want to see you two staying here when I come back!”

Vittoria froze, tears welled up again.

“Silo, you can’t do this. Celene and I have nowhere to go. If we leave here, what are we going to do?”

She hurried to hug Silvano’s waist, but the next second, she was pushed away heavily.

Silvano ignored her and walked away briskly. Vittorin sat dejectedly on the ground, her eyes gradually replaced by a sinister look.

If only there had been no Maddalenal

The next day, Maddalena received another call from the bridal shop, asking to confirm the size of the wedding dress once again.

Without much thought, she went straight to the bridal shop.

After arriving at the bridal shop, Maddalena immediately saw Silvano standing by the floor-to-ceiling window. He was wearing a black suit, standing tall, and as soon as he saw her, he strode over.

Maddalena’s heart sank suddenly, and she turned around to leave.

“Maddalena!” The next second, Silvano blocked her way.

“Why did you come here? Haven’t I made it clear enough? Silvano, it’s over between us!” Maddalena’s tone was cold.

“…” Silvano was at a loss for words, looking at Maddalena like this, his heart was torn. “I wanted to see you.”

Maddalena sneered. “See me? There’s no need to say such things, Silvano. What do you want to do?”

“Maddalena, let’s go home, I’ll take you home, Silvano’s voice trembled slightly.”

“Go home? Silvano, you got one thing wrong, that’s not my home, that’s your home!”

Maddalena looked coldly at Silvano in front of her, her tone calm but resolute. This sentence hit Silvano’s heart like a heavy hammer.

He stared at Maddalena in disbelief and grabbed her wrist.

“Maddalena, you must be joking, right? You are lying to me. Let’s go back. I promise that once we go back, you will never see Vittoria again!”

His voice was hoarse, tinged with a hint of despair.

Maddalena forcefully shook off his hand.

Bang!
