Chapter 7
She still had a mask on, but the way she entered showed she was no stranger here.
Her steps were confident–until her eyes widened when she saw me.
“Why are you here?” she asked.
I chuckled, putting the photo back in place, “If you can be here, why can’t
I?”
Selena paused, but didn’t back down.
“I came here because Colin needs me. He wants me by his side all the
time!
“You’re his wife, but you still look so thin and weak, like you’re about to die! Are you here just to embarrass yourself?”
“Yeah, if I’m dead, wouldn’t it be easier for you to take my place? Colin and I aren’t divorced yet. You’re still just a mistress!”
“Mistress? I should be his wife! You stole Colin from me! You took
everything!”
Selena got angry and grabbed my arm.
I couldn’t pull away in time, and my stomach hit the corner of the table hard. The pain made me sweat cold.
When I tried to push her away, my nails accidentally scratched her face.
“Ah! My face!” Red scratches appeared above Selena’s eyes. Her skin was fair, so the marks looked awful.
Chapter 7
“What are you doing?” I didn’t notice when Colin walked in.
He stared at Selena’s scratched face in shock. “What’s going on here?”
Before I could answer, Selena started crying.
“Mr. Fernandez, I was just bringing you a meal from the restaurant, but Mrs. Fernandez accused me of having an affair with you. She scratched my face and even threatened to kick me out of the Fernandez Group.”
She leaned heavily on Colin as she spoke.
Then, I noticed a familiar chain hanging from her neck. I stood frozen, staring at it.
Meanwhile, Colin looked at me coldly. “Naomi, apologize.”
I sneered. “What if I don’t?”
Colin seemed shocked for a moment, realizing I wasn’t scared of him.
Then, he got angry. “Fine! Then let’s get a divorce!”
After blurting out, he froze.
I finally looked away from Selena’s neck and met his eyes.
“Okay, if that’s what you want.
“But before we divorce, we need to settle some things.
“I don’t want any of your stuff. Just give me back what’s mine.”
I pointed at Selena’s neck, and Colin’s eyes followed. “Oh, so that’s why you’re upset.”
Colin suddenly chuckled, like he had figured me out.
Chapter 7
“It’s just a safety amulet. Why make such a big deal? I’ll get you a better one later-”
I cut him off coldly.
“Give it back. From now on, we owe each other nothing.”
Colin was furious. “Owe each other nothing? Don’t be ridiculous. Since you gave me that amulet, it’s mine. I can do whatever I want with it!”
He yanked at the chain hard.
Selena gasped as he grabbed the amulet.
“Want it? Go get it yourself!”
He threw the amulet out the window.
