Celestina
It’s been two days since Jason and my father made an appearance at Baron’s house and we’ve been enjoying our peace, planning the wedding.
When Baron disclosed to me that he told them about the wedding and the pregnancy, I became paranoid. Baron was apologetic and tightened the security cause I was afraid of what would happen next.
Although Alexandrian was locked up after giving birth to serve her term for her crimes against me. I was still suspicious of my family and Jason.
Baron held my hand jolting me out of my thoughts to reality, “Babe, I’ve been asking you the same question for a minute now. What’s on your mind?” He frowned in concem.
I smiled, “Nothing escaped you, did it.” It was one of his qualities I loved the most.
“Nothing much actually.”

He gave me a questioning look, “Could this be about what the Internet is saying about you?“}
Recently footage of my Dad begging at the gates to see me and mend things before he does was leaked to the Internet.
I shook my head, “Not at all, they can drag me for all they want. That man caused my mother’s death, and he would have ruined my life if I didn’t run away. He is a selfish old man.“}
Baron nodded in agreement, rubbing my belly. “Don’t let it upset you and the baby.“}
Suddenly, Baron got a call, and his expression turned dark and cold, “I’ll be right there.” When he hung up the phone, he pressed a kiss to my temple, his expression softening.
“I’ll be back soon, I have urgent business to attend to. it’s an emergency.” I had never seen him so worked up.
“Okay, I’ll be home waiting for you.” I watched him dash out in a hurry wondering what the emergency could be.
Barons Pov
I stepped on the brake, bringing my car to a stop at GreenTech Investment Company; I had been bidding for a partnership contract in an invention with them unopposed for months.
Just last week, it was approved, only to hear they are considering another company; I got out of my car and raced in, heading to the CEO’s office. No one dared question me.
I barge into the office to meet the CEO in a conversation with Darren, my business rival, and Jason.
“To what do I owe this surprise visit?“}
“With due respect, sir, we had an agreement,nt and we signed just last week. Why are you about to renege on the contract?” the man gives me an apologetic look.
“I got a better offer, it’s nothing personal.” He and Darren shake hands, leaving Jason and me in the office alone.
Jason smriks darkly, tone drips with intense hate and contempt. “I won’t stop coming for everything you hold dear till you give me back my wife.“>
Although I lost the partner on the ship, I needed it for profit re. Sons, It was just an aspect of business I wanted to explore.
“You can have the baby, contract Jason; unlike you, I play in the field of billions. This was going to be nothing but a hobby, and if you ever call my fiance and the mother of my unborn child your wife again I’ll have no choice but to smash your face,”
He looks shocked and scared for a moment, what a coward.
“By the way, she doesn’t want you anymore. Move on and stop harassing us.” I could feel his malice for me emanating from his body.. “Celestina will still come back to me, I’m her first love.“}
A muscle jerked in my face, my expression calm but ruthless. “First love? How inconsequential and silly.”
Jason became pale, “Just you wait and see. Once you allow her to have a conversation with her father. She’ll leave you on a whim.”
I rolled my eyes, irritated, “That’s up to her, isn’t it? Last I heard, you’re both dead to her. Maybe she’ll spare you two a last message or something.” I heard him wince at my words and felt satisfied, I was done here.
I walked away, ay leaving him speechless, leaving the parking lot, and I had an unsettling feeling that this wasn’t over. Jason has the look of desperation in his eyes, I should do more to make sure Celestina and the baby are safe.}
When I got back home, I narrated what had happened to Celestina, and her eyes widened in shock.
“I can’t believe he would do such a desperate act, I’m so sorry Baron, it’s my fault. I’m bringing all this drama into your life.“>
I shrugged, “It’s nothing, really, the contract wasn’t that important.”}
