“She’ll be coming into the country by 12pm tomorrow afternoon. But She’s not coming alone, she’s coming in Baron Simon’s private plane; I did some more investigation. They’re a couple.”
I stiffened, so the dating allegation was true. I composed my emotion, “Thanks for the information, I’ll send your balance to your account’s
I hung up the phone, I looked at the picture of Baron and Celestina again, how happy they looked left a bitter taste on my tongue. An intense feeling of deep dislike and jealousy filled my heart.
I dont care if Baron is a freaking billionaire, it won’t stop me from getting Celestina back.N
The next day I dressed up in a tux and bought a big bouquet of bright red fresh roses, they were

I had hired a violinist to serenade her, too, I wasn’t going to give up. At exactly 11:30 am in the morning, I was already at the airport waiting. I watched Baron’s private plane arrive, I nodded to the violinist that it was show time.N
But I couldn’t get past the security, “Please, I need to pass through; my wife is on that plane with Baron.“N
But they wouldn’t let me or the violinist pass through, the security men whispered among themselves.
“If it’s money, I can offer you. Just let me pass through.” I say proudly.N
They paused for a second, and I was fooled to think they were considering it, they burst out laughing. I felt like a clown.N
The one I assume is the head security man spoke.
“You don’t have more money than our boss. Besides, we were briefed not to let you pass if you made an appearance. If you don’t leave in two seconds we’ll throw you out of this airport.”
The violinist gave me a weird look and turned and left without a word, I swallowed the lump in my throat. “Can you at least give her these flowers?”
In a split second, two huge men lifted me off the ground like I weighed nothing, I struggled against their hold, but it was futile.N
As I was dragged through the airport, I felt everyone’s eyes on me. Most of them took out their phone to video my ordeal.N
The men threw me on the tarred, hard ground parking lot, and flung my roses on me. They scattered around the floor, and worse still, people were taking pictures.
I mustered the last shred of my dignity and got off the floor, quickly running into the shelter of my car. I zoomed away in angry tears; this was all Baron’s doing. All I felt for him was hate and the need to revenge the embarrassment he had just caused me.N

The plane landed, and I felt my stomach churn familiarly; the last time I had been in this city, I was fleeing from my ex–husband and toxic family
I felt Baron squeeze my hand, “Don’t worry about anything, I’m here. I won’t leave your side and I’ll always protect you.“N
I smiled back at him, my mind flashing back to how, for months, he had pursued me and I had given him a hard time due to the injuries of my failed marriage.
Just a year ago I had gone out to meet an investor for my company on the day Jason had signed the divorce papers. The investor turned out to be Baron, instantly, we were attracted to each other.N
He already knew all about her history due to how public the whole divorce was, the last thing she wanted was another scandal. I had to constantly wear disguises when I went out; otherwise,, my personal space and privacy would be violated.N
Then I noticed I had a stalker; no matter the hotel I moved to, I still felt unseen eyes watching me. One day, my room got vandalized; when Baron found out about it, he took me in despite my reluctance.N
He was so patient and kind to me that it was hard not to fall for him.
The night I really decided to be with him was after his company’s annual dinner, due to my scandal, I thought he would be ashamed of me and tried to avoid him all night.
But he fished me out, showing me off to all of his top friends and business associates, ignoring their curious stares and whispers.N “You’re going to be the talk of the year because of me and not in a good way.” His gray eyes sparkled.
“I don’t give a damn about that, you’re the woman I want and I’m proud of you. You’re a survivor.” What I didn’t expect was for him to pull me close and kiss me right where everyone could see us.
Everyone gasped, but he didn’t care; when we broke apart, he whispered in my ear. “I’m here to stay. Give me a chance to love you correctly.”
