Jake’s Pov
“You snake! you’re not here to show any support.” I heard myself scream in anger.”
If looks could kill, Alexandrian would be on the ground right now.”
I had to clench my fist to control my anger. I’d never hit a woman before, and I wouldn’t start now more a pregnant one.}
“Stop the pretense now, Alexandrian; you’re the one who told me you have a good supplier for vitamin supplements, and I trusted you. What I’m being accused of is your doing, you intentionally spiked Celestina’s pills with delusion herbs.“}
Alexandrian had a cold look on her face; I wonder how I never noticed how cold and pretentious she could be.§
“What do you mean by me? As far as all the evidence leads, it’s all on you, baby. And stop playing innocent, we’re in this together. We both wanted her gone, I was the one with the brains and balls to come up with the idea.“}
My mouth fell open. Was Alexandrina going to throw me under the bus and let me be punished for what I had no idea about?} “Alexandrian, you have to confess to the authorities; you did this without my knowing, please. I’m sure you’ll get a lesser sentence cause your pregnant, I can pay the best lawyer in the country to ensure your freedom.“>
Alexandrian laughs bitterly, “You must think I’m a fool, why would I confess and ruin my life. You can pay the lawyer for yourself, I’m not going to confess that I intentionally spiked Celestina’s pills. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of all you have while you’re in prison.”}
So this was how cold and selfish she is; all the while, Celestina was right about her, but I never saw the truth till it was too late.
“I’m not going to take the fall for what I did not do!” I yell but she remains undisturbed.
Alexandrian turns to leave, “Well, good luck with that; I’ve made sure there’s no evidence linking me to this. And oh, please send money to my account; I need to go for a check–up for the baby this week.“}]
“This is your fourth check–up this week already, and I won’t pay for anything else concerning you till you confess.“}
She turns around, “Oh, darling, but you will. Because I will sue you for child support and the last thing you need right now is another case to add to your already ruined career. Think of what people would say if they find out you got your sweet wife’s sister pregnant.“}
I almost drew blood from my knuckles with how tightly I clenched them, “you won’t get away with this Alexandrian.” I say through my
teeth.
“I already have, now suck it up and be a man. Else, another man may just have to raise your baby….“}
“Shut up,” I say, not letting her finish her statement.
“Don’t you even dare complete that statement?“}
She blows me a kiss that makes me shudder in disgust, “Send me the money, okay, you’ll get through this. Call your best lawyers.”
I punched the wall in anger, Alexandrian ruined my life. I had to find Celestina and make things right, I can’t let Alexandrian win this.

Celestina’s Pov
I touched down on my second foreign country. For the first time in years, I was feeling lighter. Yes, I was still in shock from what I had just found out, and it hurt so bad that my husband had betrayed me.§
But now I know, I’m not mentally ill. There’s nothing wrong with me; I can now live my life drug–free and asylum–free.}
I hai! a taxi. This time, I booked a short stay instead of a hotel since my social media was viral. I had to keep a low profile and
re–strategize.
First, I’ll need a therapist, and then I’ll need to assume my full role as the CEO of the company my mother left in my care.}]
Now that it’s been proven my mental health was never in question, I’m sure the board of directors would not object to my resumption and any of my decisions.”
I’m done trying to get others to love and accept me; from now on, I’m gonna show myself all the love and affection this life and money can offer.”
“Ma’am we’re here.” The driver said in his thick accent.
I paid the cab man and got down. A took a deep breath and let it out, this was a fresh start. I just have to stay under the radar here. Little did I know that it was still far from being over and done with.
